Hi guys just wanted to share with everyone. A freind said i could hunt on his land said he had a ladder stand set up so i left work a litle early to go see his place. when i got their the stand was broken. i looked around his land and found a part of the woods very heavy vegataion so i stayed away from it maybe a bedding so i had my tree saddle in my truck went and got it and set up on the down wind side of what i throught was the bedding sight. At 4:45PM i gruned & bleded a few times & then stopped. At 5:00PM out from the bedding sight i saw the biggest buck i had ever seen. I have taken some good bucks from the mid west so i no what a good buck looks like, the buck was about 30 yards in front of me at that time i realised i did not even have my bow nocked so i slowy graded the bow & moved behinded the tree & nocked the arrow all the time not taking by eyes off the buck. he started to come straight to me my heart was racing at about 25 yards he tured to the right broad side to my but inside heavy brush & stayed their for about 5 mintuns. all i said to my self was to breath to get heart rate down i could see parts of the deer but was not going to take a shot. when i saw his head look away from me i whated to make shore i was still in control of the shot so i pulled the bow back to antor & head for a sensond or too then let down i new i was set for the shot & keep telling ny self a was not going to shoot if i did not feal right about the shoot i was ready then he started to move and their he was brood side at about 20 yards or so i drew & then let down and he just walked a way. if he was another 5 to 6 yards closer i would have taken the shoot but what a blessing to see shouch a buck once in a life time. god bless be to see shouch a great buck.good luck to everyone & have a great hunt.
That'll get the heart pumpin for sure. Hope you get another opportunity at him.

and sticking with them when the buck of a lifetime walks out...my hat's off to you!
Yeah, definitely way to go. Good story is tons better than an ugly experience.
tough to let em walk like that, i applaud your sticking to your limits. way to work!
Had to have been difficult but... good call, Frank! I'll bet you'll be out there again soon!

Thanks guys i think about it all the time it was a great buck. going out to day hope i see him again.
good luck
The biggest deer I never killed lives forever in my mind's eye like it was yesterday and it was in MT in 1984.
Had I killed that buck, I don't know if it would have remained quite as vivid!
May that incredible encounter of yours live in your memory bank vivid and clear for many, many years to come.
That is why we hunt with a bow an arrow. Nothing like a hard beating heart!
I hope you get him.
