I think everyone that attended had a good time. As luck would have it there was a good bit of rain and lots of mud!
The deer didn't exactly cooperate as they were still holding fairly close to their summer patterns. The reason that makes for tough hunting is that they hole up out in some of the thickest and nastiest stuff around. Some of it is huntable, but much of it you can't even move through! Once November comes around and the beagles and bird dogs run them out of the thick brush, hunting in the woods will be better.
Here are some pics from the hunt!

It's not always about the hunt. Looks like you guys had a great time. I'm trying to remember a great quote that goes something along the lines of " a guy spends his whole life fishing and when he's old hits him it never was about the fish at all". Could easily be converted to trad bowhunting.
would have loved to have had a picture of logan alex and matt running from those cows. :) had a blast great meeting all you guys.
Here is a pic of the swinging milk jug target!

The covered bridge that led us to the far backside of the camp. This led to an impromptu scouting session that ended with Tony losing his shoe in some deep muck!

A nasty looking spider that apparently likes hanging out near creeks and marshy areas.
Had a great time hanging out with everyone!!!
How many deer do you folks see?
Any shots or kills?
Great pics.
Three deer passed up for marginal shot oportunities and a number of near shot opportunities. Many of the deer were hanging out in the thick nasty overgrown fields. Hard to get to them. Soon the bird and rabbit dogs will have them run out of the fields into more huntable locations in the woods.
I've enjoyed the pics Charlie, thanks for posting them. hopefully Logan and I will have one of them sweet tents next year, I've already found shared want just saving up!
What we want**. Don't know why that typed shared in there..
I have a couple more to get posted, Maybe tomorrow.
