Well I got started working on three of the five (hopefully) bows I'll be shipping over to the troops. The first one is in the spray booth. Got the shafts in last week and will be fletching them up later in the week. I'll keep updating with more pics of the bows as I'm getting them finished up. I've got one lefty I'm sending over, don't want to discriminate against the "wrong handers". Still working on assembling the balance of the accessories to make complete packages.

PM South (Bivyhunter) or search for the Michigan Longbow Assn and they have information there.
Those are beautiful South! The troops are gonna love those. Good luck finding two more "helpers" and thanks from this military family :goldtooth:

Those should make some soldiers very happy :)
Looks Great!!!
I've got a bit of a quandry I wanted to run past you guys and get your feedback on. I got in touch with John Vasos over at the Michigan Longbow Assoc. to start lining up the shipping of the bows over to Afghanistan. One of the other members of MLA PM'ed me told me that they had shipped over a bunch of arrows, some targets and five other bows, but the bows hadn't arrived and were at an unknown location. John replied promptly to my email and told me in addition to the Camp Cuervo, they are working on setting up an archery range on US soil for our disabled veterans that are getting treatment at the VA hospital on the upper peninsula. He stated it gives them a place to go and relax and take a break from their rehab. Wow, another great cause! So, the question is, should I proceed along as planned with shipping the bows to Afghanistan and take the chance that they will suffer the same fate as the others, send them to the new range for the veterans or maybe split up the order and spread the wealth?
South send them to the range you 100% know they will get there and get used Thanks Shane

I agree.
This is an awesome thing you are doing! :clapper:
South, whatever you decide, send the 2 I donated along with them. Thank's again.
With either decision you can't go wrong. Do what you think is best.
Send them to the disabled troops.
The place that will get them in a soldiers hands!! If that's to the disabled troops then so be it :)
