What nocks do I need for CX Heritage 250 shafts and B-50 string ? The nocks I have on hand are so tight they will pull out of the arrow if you pull the arrow off the string. I think they are Easton super 3-D. Are nocks for Fast flight strings smaller? Thanks, Ron
You can put them in boiling water for a little bit then put them on your string and they will let the nock opening expand to fit the string. Or you can fold sandpaper in half and make some swips in the groove and make it fit that way.
Great tip!! Thanks, Ron
Depends on how many strands and serving size you are using. The Easton 3D Super nocks have the largest and deepest throat of the push-in nocks I've found. They are my favorite nock for my carbons. When I make a dacron string for my older bows I'll use a smaller serving like BCY 3D serving .017 on 14 strand dacron strings.
Bohning Classic, none any better, Kustom King, 3Rivers, and others will stock them.
IMO it's much better (and safer) to serve the string to fit the nock rather than try to modify the nocks.

I replace all CX nocks with Boning Signature. I have found if I snap them on a wire coathanger and boil for about 15-20 sec they open up to fit my B50 perfectly. I have been doing this for a couple of years and have not noticed any ill effects.
To me, it's a lot easier to re-serve the string once than boil all those mocks and risk weakening them.
