I heard something cross the creek. I was expecting a deer when she came trotting through. Her route was behind my tree, I can't recall the shot (adrenaline?) and still don't know how I got my bow around the side of the walnut tree, but at 18 yds I made a good shot and pass through with a POC tipped with 160 grain STOS, 600 grains total. 20 yard recovery. The bow was made by our very own KennyM I recieved in the "bow swap" over on the bowyers bench. Thanks again Kenny. Sorry for the cell phone pics. I took the bloody arrow back to the house and had my brother convinced it was a 200+ buck. He was pi$$ed when he followed the blood trail to a coyote! Thanks for looking.

Nice Shot and good story. I too have a hard time recalling the shot sometimes when I've made a good shot on an animal. Especially when it happens fast. I guess that's part of the reason why I'm still doing this bowhunting thing.
Congrats on the song dog. It's a good looking Yote, got any idea what he weighed?
Huck
Great. Your bow may not be center shot but the yote is. :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Now I'm jealous. A favored target of mine.
Congrats!!!!!!!!
nothing better than a yote with your bow.

I have no idea what she weighed. Maybe 25 lbs??? Just guessing.
Great shot! Kill all them deer eating coyotes!
Excellent job Tyler!! :knothead: :bigsmyl:
Great Shot.
Nice shooting and nice looking bow!
I just want to add that I kill coyotes for a living working for the USDA. We check stomach contents, and in the spring, roughly 50% of the coyotes I kill have deer or antelope fawns in them. Keep killing those coyotes. That one fawn could be a 180 class deer in the future.
Will your brother forgive you? :biglaugh:
Great shot! :bigsmyl:
Tracy
WOW! Great shot, dude! I hope to get a coyote some day with trad. Very challenging trophy right there.
Congrats seems to be more this year than ever I can remember. Took 1 and missed 1 and have spotted them every time I've been on stand this year.
Good Job I don't think that one made a dent in KS though. I had one pass about 40yrds out from my stand.
Great shot.. Congrats on the coyote, they're not easy!
Perfect shot! Congratulations, coyotes are a real trophy.
Where do you live at in Kansas?
Way to go. They are fun to go after. Looks like a pretty good size one and nice color.
Heck anybody can shoot a big ok Kansas buck- that right there takes skill sir! Great shooting
And I love the quote in your sig line from one of the best stories ever - Lonesome Dove!
Cheers!
Fantastic trophy. Oh the fun you can have with a brother I know it all too well. Great job.
Sweet, congrats!
Great shot on a super trophy!
 :clapper: Nice trophy! Where in KS are you?

Maybe this is why deer numbers seem to be down at my primary hunting spot. Every time I go out I see a coyote or three... I have never been interested in shooting since I don't like shooting something without good reason. If they are doing this kind of damage to the deer population, look out, I am now all in!!!
Great shootin!!! Kenny makes a really sweet shooting stick doesn't he? Good looking too.

Kill um all, dang turkey egg robbing, fawn killin, cowardly packing moochers, no good........ well you get the picture, I HATE YOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!
