Here's the story,on thusday i climded in to my tree stand behind the house that is along a old logging road at 3.30pm.I know the bucks like to cruise the logging road looking for does so i just put the time in and wait.At 6.10pm i looked up the logging road and saw a buck standing there making a scrape about 60yards up.After he was done he slowly made his way down the logging road and stopped and made another scrape about 30 yards up from me. When he was done with that one he slowly made his way down to me.I don't get buck fever until after i shoot,never did for some reason,so as he walked in front of me at 10 yards i came to full draw and sent my arrow through his chest.The arrow entered 3" behind his left shoulder and came out 3" behind his right elbow and stuck in the ground.At the shot he jumped and trotted down the logging road about 50 yards and stopped just before entering the woods.He then took off on a dead run for about 30 yards before going down next to a big oak tree.I waited 30 min then took up the trail and was shocked that he did not bleed for the first 50 yards.After he stopped and the took off on a dead run he opened up good and all the blood had air bubbles in it so i knew he way lung shot.I found him laying next to an big oak tree and i could not believe the size of the body on this buck.It took 3 of us over an hour to drag the buck 150 yards back to the house.He has 7 points,21" spread and weighed 230lbs live and 195lbs field dressed.When we butchered him friday night i found a G5 broadhead and 3" of carbon shaft stuck in the vertebrae just above his spine,by the scare tissue it is from at least last year.Thanks for looking and good luck to you all.
