I have sat here patiently drooling every time I have seen an Eaglewing bow. Steve Tallant lives up to his name for sure, that man has God Inspiring Talent. I PMed Steve not to long ago if he had a bow I might be looking for. He promised I would not be disappointed. Well there is absolutely no disappointment here. This bow blows up the theory of whether sexy bows can be shooters. As a matter of fact, I don't think any bow I have shot comes close to being the shooter the Talon II is. Mama it was ripping my arrows and embedding them into the shed behind my target.
Thanks again Steve for your skill, and your quality as a Man. Bless your hands.

That is a sweet looken bow, to pretty to hunt with ...LOL
What are the specs? Good looking bow!
Wouldn't say that. True story, had a good friend, had a nice collection of Bear bows, wouldn't hunt with them, too valuable he used to say. After his divorce, greedy lawyers forced him to sell them to help pay. All because his darling wife knew how much he valued them.
After that lesson, all of mine head out for some fresh air whenever I can.
Thats one of the nicest bow I've seen on TG this year!!!
Is it zebrawood?
What is the specs?
Have you chronoed it?
Margly
Yes it is Zebra and Wenge. Looks like Myrtle veneer. It's a 58" bow and I believe it to be 51@28 because at my draw of 26.6 I'm getting 46-47lbs. Just got it today and I don't own a Chrono. You'll just have to trust me to say she zips.
Very colorful, a real eye catcher
Ya that thing is sweet! What a looker, and I have never heard a bad thing about Steve's bows. I would bet it shoots as good or better than it looks.
That's why we buy them. Personally the only time I'm looking at them is when I'm putting them together, after that all I see is the shelf. But I can't lie, this bow looks like it's on steroids, and performs like it.
That is one sweet bow! Congrats! :clapper:
Beautiful bow! Steve does great work!
Purdy!
This is one of my personal favorite wood combinations. It is a fast bow. I was keeping this bow for myself but Peter asked if I had anything in stock. I really like the riser on this bow and the way the overall look is. It is also great to have good and happy customers.
Here is a pic of the bow unstrung.
God bless you all, Steve
Very nice bow, enjoy!
WOW, that is a great looking bow!!! Congrats
Stunning looking bow Sixby, congrats on the new bow Longstick.
I appreciate the kind comments folks. God is good and He is a wonderful friend and teacher.
I am first a bowhunter then a bowyer.
I build what I want in a hunting bow and I love working with wood. First they have to shoot though and these bows are shooters.
God bless you all, Steve
Here is what this bow does really well.
1. Points really well
2. Draws smoothly to my anchor, very consistent build up. She doesn't fight you at all.
3. No shock on release and it seems to deliver as much energy as possible to the arrow. Seems to prefer a stiffer arrow than what I use on similar weight bows.
4. And best of all, these are one of kind bows.
Peter:4. And best of all, these are one of kind bows.
I really appreciate analysis of these bows. It tells me a lot when I get input from many different people telling me what they think and that gives me what I need to work on.
The fourth point that you made on individuality is the difference in the EagleWing \\Custom and the new Eaglewing Pro Hunter series I am building. It is a no frills model of this bow that will have all of the shooting aspects of the Custom bow but with none of the things that constitute a one of a kind unique to you bow. The risers will be actionwood with minimal overlays ect but will be a very functionaly sound piece of get with the program hunting bow that will shoot on a par with any bow made in the world.
Now taking orders.
God bless you all, Steve
One day!
Steve
If you build a no frills model that performs like the one I have. That will be most welcome addition to anyone's rack. Might have to think about that myself. And boy I am having fun digging out my arrows from my backstop, lol.
Thanks again and again.....
Awesome bow! I really like the looks of the Talon static!
Nice Combo on the riser Steve.
The pro hunter is being built as a tool. The Custom is built for those that appreciate the beauty of woods and art in a bow as much as the usefulness. Both are built to perform the same .
Kirk the contrast in these two woods, Wenge and Zebra is outstanding in my opinion. I know when this bow is on a rack full of bows it stands out.
God bless you all, Steve
There is no doubt about it standing out in a crowd bro... that is a thing of beauty right there.
i did some footed risers with Wenge/bubinga and Wenge/leopard wood too. i've never worked with a wood that i got more nasty slivers from in all my days.
they should call that Wenge, "Porcupine Wood"
Beauty for sure!!
Very nice looking wood combo, typical bowyer, sale the ones we would keep.I had to finaly name one after a family member to keep from getting talked out of it.Very nice work indeed!
Only way I get one of my bows it to make it for my wife , give it to her and then suddenly discover that its too heavy for her to pull.
Works for me!!!! :archer2:
God bless you all, Steve
Steve,
Can't find a price listing on your site ?
Thanks
Nice, gotta love the bow bling!
Froggy, I don't have a price list on the site. Grin.
The custom Talon 11 starts at 900. All risers are I beam construction with a solid phenolic Ibeam verticle in the riser and with a two wood minimum combination with beauty stripe and multiple overlays. Clear glass and nice veneers.
Prices vary according to wood , grade of wood, snakeskins, elk antler, horn, veneers, ect, All in line with the other bowyers.
Nice thing is I guarantee a bow in 6 months or less. No two or three years of waiting. I have never ever gone over 4 months.
The base price bow is a pretty nice bow. Check the review section for comments and pics of some more Talon 11s.
Very nice looking bow congrats.
That is one nice looking bow.
Now if I can get steve to build me a D longbow like that, that would be a sweet combination.
Incidently I hear alot of guys comment on how it looks, believe me when I say it would mean nothing to me if it didn't shoot as well as it looks. And it most certainly does. The geometry of the bow makes it easy to point, and the static tips allow for a nice smooth draw. Really sets you up for a smooth shot. About the only thing I would change so far is the string. It's on the skinny side and I just prefer a beefer string.
I am building the bow in a light d and r with a new limb I designed specificly for these risers. Andy Cooper has one that is a double carbon, foam core that he says is the best bow he has ever shot. His is mounted on a back mounted riser but the limb is made to work either way. It is not quite a perfect d when strung but is very close and a very ,,,,, Well I will leave that all to Andy who will post on it later.
God bless you all, Steve

That is a good idea Mike. Name a bow, "Mine" and then hide it somewhere when someone comes by the shop. :biglaugh:
i did the same thing this year and sold my hunting bow right before the season opened.
kirk
Longsticks
Cant agree with you more, I have been shooting my Talon for a few months now. They are "GREAT BOWS" . I Christened mine this past week.

Pete, That is an absolutely beautiful picture that simply says about all there is to say about bowhunting. Very nice sir!!!
Thanks for the comments and I am so pleased that you like the bow.
God bless you all, Steve
Nice Job there, hope to baptise mine soon as well.
Very nice bow. Hey Steve. Congrats on the harvest.
Thanks Mike, The harvest is Petes though. I really like that pic with the creek and that big smile.
When does a doe become a trophy? When you kill it one on one with a stick and a string. This is what bowhunting is really about. A lot of folks either don't know that these days or have forgotten it.
God bless you all, Steve
