not sure how well this will work, but im going to try climbing with the linemans belt, guido's web, and the bottom section of my summit climber. what do you all think?
Can't be worse than the top section of my Summit. My least favorite climber but I use it on Public Land when I want to leave my stand in the woods. I lock it with a cable lock but honestly if someone stole it I would laugh at the joke being on the theif!
I say try it, just use a safety harness, don't see why it wouldnt work.

started hunting with guido's web this year. I won't hunt out of anything else. Most of the time i just use the top of my rapid rails to stand on. Get your self a bow holder that screws into the tree. Enjoy the nap time. Greg
A linesmans belt is good if you can move your feet independent of each other(one foot at a time)with a lower part of a climber your feet are together. This will cause you to lean back away from the tree and even push off the tree to be able to get a pressure grip with the belt to move the lower stand part up. This causes you to rely on the friction of the belt against the tree. As a former rock climber I have to say this is not a good idea. If you loose your pressure grip with the belt while the stand is comming up you will face plant the tree, and get seriously hurt.JMHO And do connect the stand to the belt with a 3ft piece of cord.
I had a similar strap style stand a few years back, I think it was the tree seat or tree suit or something like that. I couldnt shoot out of it,my string arm elbow would bump the strap to the tree when drawing, and totally destroy my focus. I sold it.
The Guidos looks about the same, but the price-whoa! I didnt pay that much for my climber.
ya i bought mine from nocams. its in good shape for around 250. anyway i tried the lower section idea and it failed on a tree in my yard. you cant get the leverage to pull up the bottom section. i thought it might work but it just doesnt.
Lone wolf hand climber is hard to beat for size. Little expensive but I like mine alot. The cable system is quiet and it might not be safest thing to do but I've adjusted mine to adjust to tree diameter change as I climb or get around a limb mid air. Wouldn't try it very high but has made it possible to level base or use in tree most climber wouldn't work in.
