Hey all,

Can you all tell me where the FADES are located on my Bear Grizzly recurve?

Thanks

The fades are where the riser wood "fades" into the limb/core laminations.

Look at the riser from the side.See how at each end it comes to a very fine point where it "fades" into the limb. That point, the "fade",is in between the limb laminations, then the laminations come together. It is basically the end of the riser. The limb is the part of the bow that flexes. That's why people say to install a bow quiver inside the fades and not out on the working limb.

The fades are where the limbs start working, at the end of the riser.  You should be able to look at the side of the limbs and see where the additional laminations that form the riser end, and from that point on, there will be just the limb laminations.
