A promise made:
Ole Mudd promised me one of the Mudd Hats, shades of Sherwood Forest.
It came a few weeks back, but I couldn't get a pic taken cause it was either a) raining back here in biblical proportions or b) nobody was around when it was daylight!
Sunday, good ole Chopx2 came up from MD and we shot till we were tired, ate some grub and shot some more. I'd laid out the hat so I wouldn't forget.
Grabbed it and my Ghillie jacket and struck a pose in the back yard, asking Tony to 'shoot me'.
I had to make sure we were communicating clearly cause he's pretty good with them ole sticks he slings, but we were on the same page! :knothead:
So if they ever do an Errol Flynn remake, do ya all think I might get a call?

Of course, if you have some vermin problems, or you have adorable daughters and wanna keep the boys away, just post this version on the front door! That oughta do it!

As to borrow the words of the infamous Mudd.. "How cool is this, way I am saying"... maybe one day Doc I can be in the club....pretty neat !! Oh, you might just fill the bill for the remake, just would have to trim the stache a bit, and dab a bit of "just for men" on it...to blend that gray away!! :saywhat:
Lanier
Very cool Doc! You be stylin'.
Doc !! Ole buddy. You are rocking that cover my friend.
Doc, You look just like Errol Flynn with that hat on.Way cool!!!!

You do not want to be back in the Hollow in my neck of the woods. If the Halfmoon Boys ever see you best start running.
You'll need some different tights and develop a taste for mutton, but yeah, you could play the lead.
:archer2:
:biglaugh:
I knew I'd get some wild reactions, but you guys crack me up!
I surely didn't expect these comments...well, maybe from Massarro! :)
Them half-moon boys are half-lit when they're afield Tom, so they's gonna hafta ketch me first!
Coaster,
I knew that thread existed, but don't think I'd ever figure out how to post to it anyway! Thanks! (I think!) :)
Thanks to everyone for making me laugh today at work! :)
Not only do you resemble Erol Flynn's Robin Hood, you came to the right place to find people who know who he was.
The other day I told a receptionist in an empty store that she must be feeling like the Maytag repair man. She didn't have clue what I was talking about. There's an lol for ya.
Norm,
When I was typing the post, I was actually shocked that I could even remember Errol Flynn's name... amazing sometimes what crawls outa the back of my memory.
I think my mental computer is stuck working with 512K RAM sometimes.
Where I work, I make comments that are only from a few years ago and these young people look at me like I'm from outer space... they've never heard of half of the saying I grew up with, nor do they remember much by way of 5-7 yr old commercials or songs!
Feel like a dinnosauer sometimes. And then again, I'm getting to resemble that comment! :saywhat:
Dock in tights  that would be dangerous! Have to say there is a resemblance. :archer2:
Your better lookin than I thought Dave and have real style LOL.
Hey Doc the camera on my phone is broken...wonder why :scared:
Tights :scared:
tights: No Way, Jose.
Last time I even got close to pretending I was wearing tights was a pair of jammie bottoms playing one of the 10 Lords a Leaping in the 3rd grade Sunday school play...how embarassing! :(
Well, most of us wear them if we count our wool or thermax long johns, I guess...
Tony, ya bonehead... my ugly mug didn't break that camera but I bet David was playing with it again...he hasn't called me in a long time! :)
Way to cool  Doc : But Errol Flynn in a ghillie jacket
Mudd out did his self again! :clapper:
I was hoping for the tight's. :D
Looking good doc.
:bigsmyl:
There is nothing like one of Mudd's Robin Hood hats to start a conversation. It WILL start a conversation......it may take a wild left turn, but that conversation will get started!
Doc - you handsome devil, you should have played Errol's part. Only you were born a couple of generations too late.
Danny,
Good points, one and all.
Yeah, and in Errols heyday, wearing tights probably didn't carry the same stigma, eh?
A Mennonite missionary lady that used to live in our string of 4 townhouses stopped by to visit. I had to run down to pull stuff from the dryer and she trotted along and saw the hat hanging on a chair and burst out laughing... she had to sit down she was laughing so hard when I told her of this thread, so I emailed her the pics.
:jumper: :D
The Mudd Hat: The gift that keeps on giving! :)
This is a great thread. Lots of grins and giggles.
