This morning was my first morning to be able to hunt turkeys. I have watched a flock since September, and knew that every morning they were taking the same route to a feeding ground. So, this morning I waited concealed, and when the flock came by at 4 yards :) , I picked the biggest hen and let fly with my Big Jim Thunderchild. It has now drawn blood. Here is the result.

Targets3d, the limbs are desert ironwood. Jim got a special stock of the stuff, and it is magnificent.
Carbonkiller, nope, no blind. I sure had to be still when 20 or so sets of eyes went by that close, though.
And the Thunderchild wins by KO! Way to go :)

Good job shooting and an awesome bow too.
Ok Centaur, that is fantastic, but did you get a pass through?
I shot my osceolla with a 82# TC and a 800g arrow and he toted the arrow to his death.
The TC does love a big bird!
congrats, bigjim

Cool, Coaster!
Jim, no pass through. If you look at the pic of me with the turkey, you can see the broad head and about half the arrow sticking out of her chest. I don't think turkeys and pass throughs are usually in the same sentence.
Congrats Pat!
Just realized the arrows match too! are those wood? or special wraps?
Nice!

Regular old cedar arrows that have gotten the 'woodburning' treatment.
Nice shooting. I am still trying for my first trad turkey.
Very cool bird, great shot.
