Being as I'm not the story teller that my good friend TJ is and a man of few word.....I figured pics are worth 1000's sometimes. My 1st hunt with a longbow. Excuse a few of the cell phone pics..

I wish I could say I'm not digging this RER bow, but that would be a lie. I bought and sold 5 longbows last year before I found this one...and it's a keeper! 64" 49# @ 28". Shoots the CX 150's w/ 200 gr up front awesome! A grip unlike any other I've felt. Great fit for me!
Congrats!!!!
Awesome stuff Mike and you did "Drill" that one. Of course you seldom miss and one of the best shots I know. Congrats again brother. Hopefully I'll be able to help you drag out the big boy soon.
Had a parade of deer all moning thru the oaks. That is the exit wound behind her shoulder. The entrance was behind the ribs. She only went 40 yds or so. I'm hoping to put down a buch more before season is out. It felt soooo good to get back in a tree. I haven't hunted in 3 weeks because of the illness of my MIL. She was hospitalized for 3 weeks in North Carolina. Between my wife traveling to take care of her and then both of us traveling to settle up the estate it took it's toll on me. I sure needed the tree time I got this weekend. Cleared my mind and soul.
Good Stuff there Mike ! I have seeen the RER's but never shot one, nice lookin bow buddy.
Congrtas!

Thanks again Matt for selling her to me! She's found a great home and God willing will be in my hands on many trips to the tree and range.
She's prob going to get a rest for a while as I spent the night last night tuning in some new arrows for my Tall Tines. TJ came out this weekend and handed me a 250 gr Chris Surtees broadhead and told me "kill some critters with this". I'm not used to shooting anything that heavy so I set up some 55/75 GT's I'd picked up with a quiver a while back. After some target practice it's ready for hunting. Can't wait to shoot something w/ this heavy arrow weight.
Well said.......♠
WAY TO GO!!! :campfire: Now go kill that narrow 4 year old so we can compare 'em beasts. Congrats!!!

Congrats! I'm assuming you had tenderloin for supper last night?
Good work.
Mike I know she didn't make it far but did you get gully on the trail?
Heck no....and in hind sight should have. Issue was that when I came down and looked...I saw the broke shaft about 6 yards from the shot...when I bent over to pick it up I noticed white about 25 yards from there. Gully loves a blood trail and last year was showing sign of becoming a great tracker. I'll use him next time...promise.
out standing
Congradulations!!!
