Well spent the whole day hunting in a monsoon. Saw 3 Does, no shot. Decided to spend day doing some spot and stalk, got in to 3 groups of Osceola's from 5 to 17 birds. Put the sneak on each group twice and got busted every time I thought I had a chance to drop the string. :saywhat:
Yeah another "fun" day!
Hang it by the wood stove it will be dry in no time. That would be my preferred method although in Florida you'll have just hang up and let it air dry. It will be dry enough to hunt with in the morning. I've done both
turn the oven on about 120 for a couple hours "set the timer"
Thought about using my boot drier with the wader attachments but figured the draw opening would prevent the air flow. Ended up using the blow drier then hanging upside down to drain the BH foam.
Sticbow, if my wife saw it in her oven she'd probably crank up the heat, or turn off the timer. She's not too thrilled with the amount of Archery equipment around here.
Throw it in the dryer if you can stand the clunking noise.
did your dryer come with a shoe rack? if she thinks your doing laundry you might get lucky tonight :notworthy: :notworthy:
Hang it up and turn on the fan in a warm area.
Use your wife's hair dryer.
Regular dryer like Reddogge stated and add some clothes so it don't bang around.
And if I wash the clothes before putting them in the dryer..... Just might make Sticbow a fortune teller!
Don't worry about the Duiker...the surface nap dries rapidly, so it will be ready to go when you are.
Rod, thanks for the reply. I was asking because it was really drenched from the top of the draw opening down, inside & out. Above the opening was only wet on outside. Just trying to find a quick way to dry it out to prevent BH's from wanting to rust. Used blow drier, then hung upside down. 3 hours later it's good as new! And I get to repeat the process again tomorrow evening..... cause we're going back for more, with the same weather forecast tomorrow!
Yet another "fun" day. :archer:
2nd Option: anytime I need to draw moisture out of boots, leather, etc is to stuff newspaper in. Wade sheets into balls and stuff. In a few minutes the paper will be full of water. Repeat a couple times then air dry. Drop wet newspaper in recycling.
Northern Australia.
Just like my waders, I just hang it up on a hook and opened up till the next time I need it. Take the cover off so it gets air in it. I would only do more it I got the inside feather area wet.
