I'm looking for a longbow that is short enough to allow use out of a pop up blind. Any recommendations?
I'm relatively new (4 years) to the longbow. The only two I have both measure at 64" so looking for something considerably shorter, but is fairly easy for a "newb" to shoot.
Thanks
Ken
I had a Kohannah Fury that was 60" that was a smooth shooter for a relatively short longbow...
I'm sure others will chime in with some even shorter that are smooth as well.
I just traded for a 56" Hill Country T/D LB....perfect for a blind bow and very fast.
I am very pleased with my 60 inch Cari-bow Slynx
You might take a look at Lost Creek . The life ender model is sweet.
any shrew will work great
How big is the pop up?
Like Sal said, a Shrew will shoot out of most any blind. I shoot my Classic Hunter out of one of those little doghouse blinds.

I needed a new blind this year and bought an amerstep harvester. No need for a shorter bow. It is 6'7" at the center. I shoot a 58"recurve and can shoot standing. I think it cost $169. just a thought however it is always nice to get a new bow.
fwiw, i found out the hard way that a 62" longbow was too long for a db blind ....
Lee Hoot's makes both a short longbow and recurve that are perfect for a groundblind!
Shrew Classic Hunters are among the best for a light, handy, short blind bow, but a relatively short Morrison, Hoots, Big Jim Thunderchild, or various other similar bows would work very well too.

love my 56 " thunderchild

Get a Shrew.....or just get a "Big Mike" blind and shoot the bow you have.......
Personally Id just get both the Shrew and the new blind.
X2 on the Hoots!
Another poke for the HOOTS!!!!!
My 58" and 60" Sarrels Blackhills II longbows work great in my Double Bull Darkhorse Trad model blind..
Just a quick chime as it's been partially mentioned already. Barronett now makes 2 blinds w/80" height and one with 84". Might be a more viable option, but new bows are hard to beat.

I second that. :clapper:
The Barronett "Big Mike" blind 80" tall, and sells for about $150, probably not as much fun as a new bow, but more than likely cheaper. Jim Neaves at Centaur makes an awesome Longbow, and I believe he makes them down to 56", but the wait is 10-12 months, unless you could find one for sale in the classifieds.
Cascades 56" Brush Hawk
Look up Don Dow Styk bows. Great little bows for the money and his turn around time is just a few weeks. I have a 54" longbow and it is a shooter. Half the price as many of the bows mentioned.
my 58 inch acs works fine out of my blind.
