any one shoot these, how do they compare to a northern mist, wesley special. I dont ever see alot on here about the Robertson Stickbows, any help would be greatly apreciated. I hope I am putting this in the right forum. thanks
The Robertson is as good a bow as you will ever shoot, a little pricey but excellent bows and worth the money. They differ from Hill style bows in that they are mild reflex/deflex and Hills are basicaly straight limb.

here is hoping that these are still sized right.

Oh well, it is book matched top to bottom and back to front, every face has nearly identically grained myrtle and a myrtle handle. I don't have a pic of my pierce point cocobolo juniper, but it is also knot free and four sided book matched. Both are 52 pounds at 26&1/4" very fast, accurate, and probably due to the greater cast and 1/8" from center side plate, like to shoot a stiffer arrow than a Hill of equal poundage.
I owned a Robertson Purist many years ago, and I killed a spike elk with it. I final sold it as it was in the high 60's in draw weight and my old shoulder was saying no more.
I thought the bow was very well made and shot extremely well once I figured out the correct brace height. It was a very forgiving bow with my poor form.
I have not shot a Northern Mist, but the Purist was a little easier for me to shot compared to my Hill's at the time.
Thank's to all of you for the input and info.
Go to Tradout.com to check them out. That is the online store that Dick's daughter Yana started. Dick has been making a living selling bows for 33 years now. He is one of the people instrumental in keeping the traditional bow going through the years. You won't find a better bow in my opinion.
I own two old Robertson's, a old Purist longbow and a Peregin recurve, both are great bows. They are made to last and one tough fast shooting bow. He is one of the best bowers in the country and has been for many years.IMO. He is more popular out west than in the east.
