Well today was one of those days.
I was butchering my deer with my razor sharp knife set I just sharpened and I shaved a little off my first knuckle on my index finger on my right hand when I was distracted by a jogger for a second.
I cleaned it and put a bandaid on. 30 minutes later as I'm cutting off the back quarter I slice about 1/8" into my finger for a length of about 1.2 inches, managing to cut through the bandaid!
So I got done doing all sorts of cutting, chopping, dicing, grinding etc without further incident wearing glove on my wounded hand.
I think I'm gonna ask santa for one of those knife proof gloves for christmas this year.
So I'm shooting my bow and I split a knock, I see the arrow go sideways, the bow basically dry fired, except the string shot into my nose taking a small piece off my right nostril.
Yowsers this bowhunting stuff is dangerous! :D
Ah, you don't earn a living working with explosives do you?
We all have those days. Tomorrow will be better. Trust me but don't ask me how I know!

Haha no, I'm normally very smooth with such things! It was just one of those days. But I got all three injuries out of the way so maybe I'll be good for a while?
What did the jogger look like? LOL!
Darren, You beat me to it!!!
They say thing's happen in threes. I'd say you're good to go. Have fun and let 'er rip. Glad to hear you're okay.

I had a Dr. One time that I described if I moved my arm in a certain way it would hurt in a certain spot his comment
" I wouldn't do that if I were you anymore "

New Guy, try adding about 200 grains or so too your point weight, so 325 up front and you will be pleasantly surprised! Shawn
I have a chain mail glove and it's the bomb for that stuff, especially when you start to get tired or looking at joggers.
Must have been a babe, gets me every time. :biglaugh:
Seems as if the most of us can't escape a day of errant actions.
Just glad your injuries were not major.
Was it "mayhem"?
Go get 'em Gonz! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
Darren,
The jogger looked like Ugly Betty!!!!
I haven't cut myself while skinning and quartering a deer before. I have gotten scrapes from bones that I cut though.
I used to have a wire mesh filet glove, but i'm sure it's rusted somewhere. I need to pick up a new one for my left hand. I'm careful, but it's better to just be safe.
Ah! The pros and cons of jogging!! :) )
