Does anyone shoot Purple or Purple Bars on their arrows either to hunt or for 3D? I am considering Purple Bars on my next arrows and was wondering.
I know a few guys who use purple fletchings and crown dips. Their reasoning is that there isn't anything in the forest that is purple. Safety first.
Purple is hard to see in low light....... something to think about on a hunting arrow......
I have purple and flow yellow on some of mine
I use purple/flo green 4x4

I use purple camo, tree camo - whatever you call it - I see em fine in daylight - lowlight you better have something else to put on the string!.

I 4 fletch AMG 4" purple and white. Nice combo and shows up well. The purple is lighter color and even when the light goes down the white keeps showing.
I have some yellow crowned w/2 purple and 1 yellow feather. They work fine for me. Hap
yeah man, the color of royalty, lol. :D

A purple barred cock feather and 2 pink hens look better than they sound and are pretty easy to see in flight and to find on the ground.

I "definitely" agree.
Another one for purple is hard to see in low light.
I use 2 purple and two hot pink fletch per arrow. I only ever see the pink, purple kind of hard to see.
awesome arrows Rob.
Made some purple shafts and feathered arrows for my Wife.
They looked nice, just really dark feathers.
Hard to see in the shadows.
Hard to see how they were flying too.
I made these up for spring turkey...

I used to have purple barred, but have moved on to brighter colors like orange. Yes, the purple can be harder to see, especially later in the day. :archer2:

not knocking purple but I've found chartreuse very hard to beat.
imo, purple is not a good hunting arrow fletch color. chartreuse, bright yellow, bright white and hot pink are hard to beat under most conditions. but i do love a natural or purple barr fletch on a woodie ...
I'm a K-Stater, so I like purple fletches.
White crown and 3 or 4 white feathers with purple spliced in.
