My LaCrosse Burly rubber boots have finally started falling apart and need replacement. I've had these boots for almost 15 seasons..WOW...amazing as I write this. These boots have some serious milage and wear on them and finally dry rotted a quarter sized hole at the ankle.
I think I'm going to replace them w/ the "Burly Classic" boot, just because I got 10x my money's worth out of the 1st pair.
Another side of me keeps wanting to buy the "Alpha Lite" boot instead, but the ratings on the LaCrosse site don't seem to be as good as the Burly.
Another issue is fit...
It's been so long I forgot what size these were.
I wear an 11 sneaker and am unsure what size boot I should order....12 to allow for socks?
Any opinions would be apreciated...
Mike
I'm committed to the classics. They've got the classic look, and they're proven performers. One of the best values out there in my opinion.
I've had two pairs of classics. The first were purchased around the early 90's, and they fit a little tighter than the ones purchased about 4 years ago. The newer ones fit me better. More comfortable, but no problems with slippage. Others may have had different experiences.

Burly classics for me too. Been wearing them since 1987. For me they fit one size big (normal 9 so get a 8) but I don't wear super thick socks either. Other thing I do is I like to put in a medium thick insole too. the last time I ordered I ordered right from Lacrosse website cause they offered free shipping and return shipping if they didn't fit.
