I don't know what the heck is going on as of late...but if you post a compound kill, you and your thread will be removed from this site.
I'm tired or reading..."I can't help myself"..."I know this isn't trad but I feel the need to share"...."I know its not a trad bow, but a muzzle loader is traditional". I'm tired of getting emails about these types of thread and having to go pull them.....so, I'm going to start eliminating the violators.
Like I said...I don't know why folks feel the need to post kills of other weapons...but I'm now implementing ZERO TOLERANCE....sorry, but I can't help myself!!!!
It sure would help if folks actually READ THE RULES THEY AGREED TO....and then read the thread featured at the top....it would save EVERYONE some grief.
Thanks!
Rules are Rules. Thanks for enforcing Terry and others.
In fact, THANK YOU for all of your efforts that allow us the enjoyment of this great site.
"Hammer down" "T"
We are responsible for our own actions and the consequences that follow is ours to shoulder as well.
Fore warned is fore armed.
I don't think it gets any plainer than you've spelled it out.
Thank you!
Folks if you don't like the rules here you need to find a different web page or build your own.
Thanks again Terry!
God bless,Mudd
PS: I haven't ever met any of the moderators or Terry but have the utmost respect for them and the challenging job they do here.
If poeple want to post Muzzleloader and Compound Kills......
There's other Online Forums for that ;)
Thanks for your hard work Terry.
Trad gang is just that!
:clapper:
Sorry that some folks push the rules here..
Their indiscretions push you into enforcement..
Keep the site as intended.
I appreciate your efforts, Terry. While I have no problem with compounds, muzzleloaders, rifles and pistols, that's not why I visit here.
However, because this site is true to it's stated goals, it is the site I visit most often
You are showing some good leadership, Terry.
:clapper:
Joe
Thanks for the enforcement. Thats why this site works as well as it does. :clapper: :clapper:
What mountbkr said!!!!
Just start a "road kill" folder for everything that isn't trad
Thank you I agree completely, they should go to a high tech site if they want to share!
Thanks.
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
for T
I haven't killed anything but grouse with my recurve but I could "wheel" in a ton of pics otherwise. I mean, there is a point to all this, y'know...
Another THANK YOU!!!
:clapper:
I own centerfire rifles, a muzzle loader, and a bunch of revolvers. I don't post Smith & Wesson items on the Colt forum. Nor do I want to read about sports cars (which I love) on a hunting forum. Thanks Terry. Keep it pure.
Good on you T. :clapper:
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a suggestion but maybe you should create an other forum called "Free for All" or "Slighty off Topic" or something of that nature and any threads or posts that are borderline are moved there. Then tell folks don't email me about threads in this forum "don't go in there in there in first place in you don't want to read about none trad kills." You have a "Report a Post" function here, seems like a simple solution to me. I thought my "Slingbow" thread was OK, I knew it was borderline but thought it was very informative and was posted as such but a few posters had to take it down a different direction and I knew as soon as that happened it was going to get whacked pretty quick and it did. I saw no difference than any other post like "What do you carry in the woods with you" Or "What's in your Daysack or Backpack?" It was a survival tool thread..some of those here some just took it down a different road. This would be a perfect example. Good info. for hunters and might actually save a life but it's not a Traditional bow hunting post.
All that said you run a good site just some food for thought.
Edit:
In short what am trying to say is you are always going to have new members joining and some guys who always want to push the envelope and that is not going to go away. Maybe it would be less frustrating to you and your Mods. to have a place to dump these threads and posts and not going to the extreme of deleting and account over it and dealing with all the B.S. that comes with that.
Once again just some food for thought from someone who is an Admin and a Mod. on two other sites. I understand your frustration.
I agree with you Terry. The reason that I come to this site is because it is 100% traditional and I would like to see it stay that way. Bob
:campfire: :coffee:
Gotta be done! We are with you!
Think I may have been one of the culprits with my "I have strayed" post. Sincere apologies Terry.Won't happen again.
This is the best place on the net, hands down and its because of you and your mods that its so.
Brad
Thanks Terry for your efforts in keeping TG what it is "The best dang Traditional archery site on the world wide web". :archer2:
It is awefully nice of you to say your going to do it before dropping the hammer. I don't remember any warnings when I was in the military. Once you know the rules, punishment for violation should be swift and sure. Half the problem in our society is that this practice is dying out with parents and people think they can just do whatever they want.
I say drop the hammer and let the folks learn a lesson they should have learned prior to reaching puberty.
MikeW....I'm afraid you aren't getting the point...
THIS IS A TRAD ONLY SITE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE, CUT AND DRY!!!
Not a "free for all", "slightly off topic site"....I don't see the sense in having a forum like that on this site.
There are many both wonderful and invaluable attributes far from unseen once becoming immersed w/I the community. My own life has been significantly and positively impacted by experiencing its treasures.
Even though my handle is "Friend", my protective commitment to the TG community is zealous. For wrongs done to me are responded by a turned cheek: but for wrongs done to my family, my friends and others of the TG community, the responses are swift, yet appropriate, persuasive and evidently contradictory.
This traditional community is a gift I pray that we all openly value!!!!
Let's consistently join in providing the utmost support for our moderators in order to ensure the protection of the engrained integrity of this site and for all the individual members of this beloved community.

Trust me I get the point. OK no problem just a suggestion like I said..stick to your guns.
I got my first thread pulled a few months ago after being a member here for years and years. I thought it was related enough to the topic of hunting to post, but the mods thought otherwise and I dont blame them. This is a unique site and I enjoy the fact that you can come here and have a point of interest that every member present knows and loves. There is a uniqueness to that which is not present in most other forums. I think the goal at Tradgang is clear.
Hopefully the guys and gals on ALL the forums read and follow this advice.
Thank you Terry and the mods!!! :clapper:
Thanks Terry. You and all the moderators do a great job and it IS appreciated. I had a post pulled once for something difgrferent and yall were right in doing it. Keep up the good work. Its what helps make TG the no.1 site for traditional archery and related subjects.
Ahhhh. We need a little light bulb gremlin. Last week I was following a thread and then it was gone. I always thought if there was a pic that did not belong, the mods would delete it, I did not realize the whole thread would go away. Makes sense now. Thanks.
We definitely don't need a free for all forum!
As others have said, I come here because it's a Traditional bowhunting/archery site. Thanks for keeping it that way . . .
This is the only place I go to talk hunting, cause I hunt only traditional archery. I love it that way. There are hundreds of modern weapon sites others can visit. Thanks Tradgang
 :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Thanks Terry!!!
I appreciate your strong action Terry. I'm with you 100%.
Dave
TRAD ONLY.
Good job! After all, this is not "The Wall"...
Agree 100%.
I'm here for Trad ARCHERY only.
:clapper: I am here to read about traditional archery and I expect that.
What terry and Curt said! :clapper:
I feel I should apologize. I posted a moose kill late last week from Hunter's Point with very little info only to find out this AM it was a compound kill. I should have confirmed it first...won't happen again,
Thanks for doing this Terry and its nice to know TradGang is the site I can always come to and know traditional bowhunting and traditional archery will be the focus and not a side line..........
Archery talk to show off compoundand longbow kills
Tradgang for trade kills
Airgungate for pelletguns
Predatormasters for firearms
Many good forums for posting your stuff. Im not going to post airguns kills on a trad archery site.
Outstanding. That's what the other forums are for.
Another Thank You!
:clapper:
:archer:
Trad ONLY Baby!!!!
Thanks
Atta boy T!! :clapper:
Right on, Mr. Green! Balls to the wall and takin' no prisoners.....LOVE IT! What did they expect!? Too bad, but people do it....learnin' the hard way that is! It is what it is and IT AINT WHAT IT AINT! And it aint nothin' but trad archery here!
trad bowhunting.
it's what we are.
no disrespect to those other kinda weapons - and no apologies, either.
good job terry!!
Little things like compromising on our moral values and ethics is whats killing our great country. Make rules and enforce them, and do NOT !!! aplogize for it. I commend you sir for taking a stand... Thank You
If I want to read about muzzleloaders I go on the muzzleloader site. Which I have to admit is also on my favorites.
Bingo.
Great job Terry and Thanks!
 :clapper: up top you go.
They are amoung us. But can not get over them even posting about a non-trad kill on this website. That is like the crook going to the police and turning himself in.Then looking for symathy.
Right on . Theres other good forums that you can put your other stuff on .
Seems easy enough to me. I wouldn't go to a "modern rifle hunting" site and insist on posting pictures of a longbow harvest. Some guys just refuse to get it...I guess they have problems with boundaries.
Thank Terry...Rob...Curt...!
Thank you again T and all the mods
I kinda do enjoy this site because it is trad bow only - as well as people have manners and are polite.
The site is also huge! so Terry, Guru and yall must have your hands full.
Thanks for the job yall do,
J
:nono:
March on brother!!!
Thanks for the monitoring...it is a "trad" site.
I agree.
I am a traditional bowhunter first and foremost... but when I seem to disappear for a while, I am either bowhunting something somewhere... or doing another bush activity... from berry picking to canoeing, to skinning, to fishing, to guiding or whatever else... that I don't mention on this forum.
The outdoors is my life. There are a million things related to the great outdoors... but I agree it is impossible to discuss them all here.
It sure is nice though to be able to discuss traditional bowhunting specifically and intelligently with other passionate bowhunters on this site.
