Woods is worn slap out and has retired for the evening....
Dragging and skinning are tough on anybody, especially when you are only eleven and it's your first time. :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
But it's a good story.
Get him to give me a call when he gets time Michael. Great job Woods. Mr Don
 :campfire:

Oh yea. Was wondering if you would come out of the shadows to post a story. Patiently awaiting. :coffee:

Okay Okay...
My son Woods Has been hunting and fishing with me since he was four. There is a picture on my desk right now of when he was five and we were fishing the Cape Romain reef 12 miles offshore. He is about to net a spadefish for me.....
Time sure flies.
He killed his first buck the week of his 10th birthday. Killed his second the next week.
He has been shooting an Ed Mikuta kids longbow since he was six. Last summer I bought him a PCH off the classifieds. It's 50@28. He is drawing it almost 26.
After a few misses last season he put it all together yesterday evening.
I'll let him tell the rest of the story this evening.

Way to go man.... sweet...
You wanta talk lets talk. How would u put it I left at six in the evening and got in my stand the first thing I see is a cottontail rabbit about fifteen minutes later then waited like an hour and the rabbit goes like boo and runs of then thirty minutes later two deer
come in and a coon and another deer all does wait five minutes and took a shot sitting and I was loosing light i've seen an eight point buck on a camera and wanted to shoot it but like I said I was loosing light everything took of the coon came back but the deer were starting in and that scared two minutes later I got out of the stand and went home met my dad on the way we went back and found the deer and left to get my three-fourths of a year old black lab named diesel to see if he could find the deer and he did hauled the deer out to the clearing and got my dads truck and hauled the deer to it and we skinned it and cut the meat out and it is in the fridge right now that's it. Woods
And there you have it. Straight from the horses mouth.

Woods and Michael,
This is GREAT  Woods, congrats on the start of a lifetime passion, you're dad will lead you in the right direction. When I sold this Widow PCHIII to Michael last summer he said he was buying it for his son. Never in a million years did I think it would come to this. At 54 years old, I sold it because it was a super shooter but "just a little too much weight" for me at my 30" draw. Now young Woods is flinging arrows and scoring with it. Love it!
Longbowbens computer is down so he wanted me to tell you congrats Woods! :clapper:

Great story also....sure that it is the first of many!
Dear Mr. Woods,
Your story is now my favorite one ever written on Tradgang. Always kind of fancied myself as "THE" Lowcountry Archer but now know that another man that roams these parts is more fitting of that title.
I'm in awe........
Way To go Woods, the first of many I am sure.
Hunting, Shot, animal down and found, all Good. Thank you for sharing, Oh, by the way, Congratulations and Well Done. :clapper:
Butch L
Woods, thanks for the call. You are the man right now but next time I see ya I'm ready for another game???? DB
That might be the finest story telling I have seen displayed on tradgang! Congratulations, Woods! Nice job, Michael.

Congratulations!!!!!!
Nicely done on the story telling!! Some of the yahoos on here like to drag it out for months on end it seems like. I like your style--to the point, save the dragging it out for the woods. ;)
Good job Woods! Great story. Sounds action packed. That second sentence made me light headed. :D But, I am sure expressed the excitement level of the events perfectly. :archer2:

I was just going back and looking at the picture again. Woods fletched every arrow in his quiver except the white one.
Remember Woods ol buddy, that 8 pointer is still out there. Dont let pop shoot it. If he does then let me know and I'll stick him in the "no deer" stand when he gets here. :deadhorse:
