Just picked up a 60" Longhunter, should be here tomorrow. As many times as I was in Dan's shop, I never recall seeing one. I own / have owned 64" & 68. I did speak to D.D, Dan.s son, he said there sure weren'tt many 60"ers done amd were usually in the 40 # or so range, and made for 28" max draw. This one is in the mid 50#. A rare bird for sure, and doesn.t hurt it's in 9 plus shape. Wondering if any fellow members have, or have owned, shot one ?
Many thanks,
Lanier
I own a 60" longhunter at 58 lb, great bow would love to trade for a 64" bamboo longhunter,I need one that will be good for a 29" draw, but that is another story...I have had my quillen bamboo longhunter sence 1998....great shooter been my extra bow ...great tough bow ahead of their time..
Here's a link to a thread where the 60" Longhunter is discussed.

I have a 68" Bamboo Longhunter. Awesome bows.
I still have my 64" 80# Longhunter... great bow !!. Thanks for the info.
Big Dan fan but never shot his great bows. How's it shoot?
Shoots alot better than other highley touted and more expensive bows of the time...mine likes heavy arrows, when I set the brace height at 6 1/4" it really came its own, wish I could find a 64" to trad for my 60" lomghunter ....
Mine, the prototype, is marked 52# @ 26". More info on the link DannyBows posted.
