Hi All. I have been lurking here for a long time and finally felt like it was time to join. I found this forum at the end of the last bow season when I decided I wanted a new challenge. After 23 years of hunting with training wheels I was feeling a little stale. Since that time I have been on here nearly everyday reading and learning. All the stories, pictures, and advice are awesome. Thru this forum I learned of a trad bow show in Waterloo, Iowa and I attended. I met some nice folks and shot a few bows. At that time I decided to start saving for a new bow. This summer, while on vacation, I had the pleasure of visiting Jim Belcher at his shop. I shot some of his bows and had a nice visit. Well, I finally saved enough to make the purchase and I am now waiting for my Belcher Thunderbird to arrive. My hope is that with enough practice I will feel comfortable enough to take it out yet this season. If not I still have the wheelie bow. I have a friend at work who has let me shoot his backup bow, an older Bear Kodiak, for the last few months so hopefully I can transition smoothly. Anyway, I want to thank all of you for inspiring me to give this a try. I am certain I will have many questions and I know from reading just how helpful you all are. Thanks.
Welcome to the tradgang family.
Enjoy your journey along with the rest of us.
God bless,Mudd
Welcome from Maine. This is a great site and the guys aren't too bad, well most aren't lol.
Welcome to the gang. Like you I have learned so much here. In fact I will be opening up our season here in Arkansas with a group of tradgangers on Saturday that I wouldn't have ever met without Tradgang. Great site with lots of good people for sure.

Welcome! You have found a good place with lots of nice people!
Welcome! My advice is to get rid of the wheelie bow lol I did and it was a lot easier for me to get better with my recurves..it's better when you can't go back to the compound when the stick bow gets frustrating.
