As a newbee here I want to thank David not only offering my daughter a bow, but also ( and especially) for inviting me to his house to shoot. Over and over I've heard the advice that as someone new to trad you should get hooked up with someone who knows what they are doing. I learned more in the hour and a half in Dave's backyard than I would have figured out in year on my own! This really is great forum, thanks!
Awesome!!

It was good to meet you Chris. I hope Zoey enjoys the set-up. Keep practicing and we'll hook up again for some more shooting.
Good on you Vermontster

Chris,
If you were to pick a name out of a hat of any person here, to help teach you good form, technique and proper tuning; you would be hard pressed to find someone better Than Dave. :readit:
Congrats, Welcome and enjoy!
You did exceedingly well by seeking out someone experienced. Actually, it is possible that one may never figure out how to properly shoot in a lifetime w/o proper guidance. Once bad habits become engrained they are difficult to eradicate and thus we may decide to live with them. We then may thus be depriving ourselves of fully enjoying the wonders and special discerning experience of the traditional.
Vermonster13 consistently and valuably contributes inconspicuously to the trad family as well as to many others. I am quite proud to have him as a fellow brother.
Enjoy the journey for the memories and pics will be safely stored and guarded from within.
Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few guys have passed through my backyard Charlie. Not as intimidating since I put the backstop up though. The stonewall has been retired for the most part in that capacity. A few who came before probably remember the wall. :D
Dave who?
Good guy part of the mix a long while. Does a lot for folks especially new tradsters. Welcome GMB.
Dave,
Zoe wouldn't let me go to work this morning without shooting her new bow! So here we are at 6:00 in the basement. I'm trying to post pics below I hope it works! I look forward to getting together this spring to shoot again, I'll bring extra Pepsi!! Good luck this season, 48 hours to go!

Dave has been a help to many in many ways. When my shooting sucks, I go back to a few pointers he gave me and mostly I'm back on track.
My only beef with him is he let me shoot an old Bear bow he had. Now I have a permanent illness :bigsmyl:
Well done Dave!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

That grin kinda says it all, doesn't it! Nice job, Dave.
Never been to the Northeast part of the country. One of these years I'm going to have to head to Vermont and look you up. I'd like to shake your hand and maybe fling an arrow or two with you as well.
