Hey guys, got a story for ya. I went out Friday night to some public land with a friend and set up in a ground blind. Round 7pm, a doe and her fawn came in and started feeding. They got into an opening and i was about to shoot whenever they turned and started walkin towards me. As they came closer, i looked to my left and saw 2 spikes at about four feet! they moved behind me and the does started walking left. i drew on the doe and heard a foot stomp behing me. As i released my arrow....the doe took two steps and the arrow hit her 3in in front of the right hip. We let her lay overnight and looked for her the next morning and nothing. Another friend came up and found her 200yrds from the point of impact. looking back on this deer, i learned a few things, A.) take closer shots (she was about 25yrds) and B.) good friends are great to have.
I can't figure out how to post pictures and if someone could help my out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for reading, Joe
