My new Bama Expi came today and I've gotta say Nate hit it out of the park again! I've been Lovin' his straight limbed bows for awhile now and just had to try his Expedition.
As always Nate's work is top-notch. The fit and finish is superb. She's 58" and draws 53@27. He hit weight on her perfectly for me. The Riser is dark stained Curly Maple with an accent of Boo. I love the dark look of her, all serious and deadly.
The limbs are 2 lams of Bamboo and 2 lams of Yew, with black glass. Overlays are also dark Curly Maple.
Nate's carbon sleeve fits like a glove, very nicely done. The grip fits like I was there for sizing, perfect.
I had just enough light to take a few pics and put a few arrows thru her. Awesome! This bow really spits an arrow. I tried a few 530 and 580 grain arrows and she was really rocking my target.
Even with a bare string she only had a minor bit of string buzz, which will disappear with a couple small silencers. No hand shock at all.
Thank you Nate, Hats-Off to you for one awesome bow! I highly recommend this bow to anyone looking for a high performing Hybrid longbow.
P.S. This is the first time I had to use a screw-driver and not a knife to get to a bow after shipping. Nate ships his bows in a sturdy crate/box. Well Done!

Very nice! I love the look of his bows a lot, and I'm a sucker for curly maple.
I think that dark stained Curly Maple really looks great! Vary nice looking bow. Good luck with her this season.
Beautiful !
I am an Expedition owner! I admit it. I love mine. It is "all that and a bag of chips".
Matt
Congrats on a fine looking bow. If it shoots half as good as it looks, you have a shooter.
Looks great!!! I need one:)
WOW! I love it! Unbelievably cool bow!
Nice one, and Nathan is a great guy too!
:archer:
That Bamaboy is getting a reputation! Real nice looking bow. Best hunting luck.
Nate's a great guy to work with on a bow, and he really stands behind his work. He just had his first child a couple weeks ago, he's the proud PaPa of a little girl. He says he's working on a crew of bowyer's to help him out. Lol!
that's a beauty
She sure is appealing!
That is a dark beauty!!! Congrats!
I am very seriously considering a Bama for goat and sheep hunting. I'm liking the royal, prefer a classic D shape bow, but that is one dang sexy bow!
Here is my Expedition. One piece, no leather on the riser, Elk Limb Tips.
Shoots real fast and flat with no hand shock.
Very quiet.

That's a very nice bow there Danny, congrats!!!And it came in a very nice crate too.Your herd of bow is getting bigger every moment!! :)
Thats a beautiful bow.
Wow, dark and beautiful.
Very nice bow and I like the dark color in it... Like I once said before "I like the way he ships his bows"! Just taking that extra time to make a shipping crate show's me that he takes the extra step in making his customers very happy!
nice one!
Nice bow!
It's so very nice to know that Bama makes such nice products...it only makes it that much more difficult waiting on your own bow to be finished by Nate.
Guys, Nate made me a hunter some time ago, and this year I already slayed 15 squirrels and over a hundred fish, awesome bow for money, hoping to stop buy shop when in gulf shores and looking at elite, wink buy
Wow! That bow has a deadly look to it. Makes me think of a cobra.
Very nice. I want one.
Thanks for the comments guys.
Matt, your Expi is sweet! Good call not covering that pretty wood. I'm thinking my next one will be a 1pc for just that reason. I'm gonna see if Nate can round-up some serious Tiger Maple, and do an entire bow in it, with just enough stain to bring out the grain.
V I Archer, I have a 1pc Royal in 60" I got second hand. She is a beauty.
Wow...whatta beauty. :clapper: :clapper: I like it, I like it alot. I just had to sell my BamaBow. It hasn't been picked up yet but I already miss it. That one was special, but this one's beautiful. Hmmm....what to do.
Great bow, Danny! This design is known here as delta-bow, because the straight limbs the bow look likes a triangle when it's strung. People here use to say this kind of bow is very smooth close to the anchor point.
I really like the way Nate packs his bows in home made wooden crates. And the Expedition wrapped with a bow sock. It shows care and creativity. He walks his own path.
I believe Nate's wife makes the bowsocks and twists up the strings. She does excellent work too, the string that came with the bow, a D97, was first rate work, I was quite impressed.
