i am shooting a 62 inch pma2,59@29 i draw 29..im shooting easton st.epic 340 cut to 30 with 220 grain muzzy phantoms..total weight is 560 grains.arrows are flying like, well arrows, nice and flat and blows thew the 10 3d targets in my back yard...is it enought gpp 9.49..is it enough for elk, whitetail,or whatever else i can dream of..
i think youll do fine with that setup. no expert here, but my setup is similar percentage wise...
Dream of...probably not cape or elephants but, for whitetail and elk and most other animals on the planet you're fine.
I would say you are fine for any animal you can shoot at, except those like the cape buffalo or elephant.
preamble - choose and use an appropriate holding weight stick bow that's apropos for the critters yer hunting.
now with that correct holding weight stick bow, here's my minimum criteria for anyone's hunting stick bow arrow ...
9gpp, consistent accuracy at sane hunting distances, great flight, uber sharp coc broadhead.
looks like yer good to go ...
yes! more than enough. i shot a bull elk this year with a BW recurve pulling 53 lbs at my short draw 26 inches. i had a 550 grain arrow. i burried the arrow up to the fletchings. he ran 200 yards.
that is plenty of power stroke to kill anything in North America
last year i shot 720 grains..wasnt impressed with the arrow drop, but all the deer i shot never went over 45 yds.
LLAD!
Lord Love a Duck! I'm confident with a lot less.
Easily for any of those.
Great setup go get 'em.
