Nice hog! what did you shoot it with?
Wow that is a great looking pig! Glad you got to get out an hunt a little for yourself!
Way to go Ray!
Great pic, must have been the "war paint" that sealed the deal. Congrats Ray!
Lookin mighty pretty Ray!
Congratulations on a nice Hog.
most excellent!!!
 Good stuff!
That's a 56 inch hybrid longbow that's about 62# at my draw, an Arrow Dynamics full length carbon shaft with a 160 grizzly, 100 gr steel adapter.
I shot him twice- caught about 15 hogs in a 7 or 8 month old clearcut- rooting around...just before dark.
He was pestering all the other hogs, so I had to do him in.
First shot was at what I saw as a 'profiled' hog- but in fact he had turned his head and front of his body toward me as I was drawing- arrow entered near-side of neck, traveled through and exited the opposite side elbow on the front, breaking the leg and passing through.
He ran toward me ( not at me) as I loaded up another arrow- at about 10 steps he did a 90 to his left and started motivating as fast as three legs would carry him, and I loosed a second arrow that traveled through both sets of ribs angling from rear ribs to front ribs- which created a pneumothorax and collapsed his lungs.
Hog went about 50 yards and was DRT
I've still got two available slots for any future date at the special price of $495.00 for a hog hunt- that's 80 bucks off the regular $575.00
And we have many openings left for 2012. If you want to get in a last minute hunt this fall, the next four weeks will be THE BOMB as the oaks are beginning to drop, the persimmons are close, and crabapples are almost ready!!!!
Call me at 678.300.2883 to set something up!
Congrats Ray!
Wasn't too far from the Bay of Pigs, Terry! Maybe 100 yards or so

Thanks Ray....now I got more to picture in your story. :campfire:
Nice one.
Ray,
Great!!!!!!
Joe
And again , I had to DRAG it out ! But I wouldn't have it any other way! Ray deserved this one, in a big way! Congrats Brother!
Terry,
Mike and I are going to move that quadrapod stand with the swivel seat out to the edge where the "bay of pigs" and that clearcut meet- it's 18 feet tall and has a nice comfortable seat on it...should be great for comfortably glassing the 250 ac clear cut, seeing the hogs and then getting down and cutting them off.
Mike is the kind of guy you always want in camp- cheerful, easy to please, hunts hard, and never complains. That's hard to find these days and he's a real treasure. Hope you guys get to meet him some day if you've not yet.
Plus he's a real L.A. kind of guy- Lower Alabama, that is!
Nice pig, Ray!
Bow, 56" hybrid, handle looks like a Centaur?
My pics are fuzzy. Great DIAl-UP Service. :(
That's right...it's a glass and wood centaur...I bought used off the 'Gang....killed everything I shot at with it..then sold....stupid, right? I missed it, thought it was gone forever- and just this year a nice fellow traded it back to me.
It's a "magic" bow.
Congratulations Ray :)
Congrats Ray,
If that's the same cent you had when I was there its a good shooter.
Mike, I am glad your legs are working again, just dont let Ray take advantage of you, now you need to return the favor :readit: stories and pics to come
Congrats Ray, Nice hog!
Rusty
Good one Ray!
Rusty...
That bow and the Grizzer did a number on that porker, bud! Working on what you are due this weekend.
COOL RAY!!!!.....
I always thought it would be really cool to actually be able to glass an area and plan an ambush. Not many places here in the east to do that.....let me know how it goes.
Howdy Mike!!!!! :wavey:
That's a good one Ray  I take it all back my sincere apologies. :notworthy:
sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mark
:) :) :)
Ray,
I am happy the bow is back home were it belongs.
Rusty
Nice Ray, congratulations!
Thanks, Everyone for the nice comments! They sure are a lot better to handle when they're not mudded up, Izzy!!!! :biglaugh: :archer2:
Thanks, Dave!
Why you gotta hide them kinda hogs when I come down there? Nice lookin' piggie, Ray.
Fred..
Hey Freddy!!!! Been hunting yet? Any luck?
Still down south here...went to the lease last week on opening day and by 08 it was already 80 deg...kinda hot to hunt whitetails for me...hoping it'll be a tad bit cooler this week.
