Hello all
I think i have found the one! 560 Fedora..60" 60#@28...Recurve Gaboon ebony and bloodwood.. I
This is one that is pretty rare..Mike and Jason made this a double carbon bow, with micro tapered lams, reinforced speed tips and all the rest of the intricasies that make Fedora one of if not the best out there.
Of course it is fast like all Fedoras...but what i noticed about this bow is...QUIET!!! Mike said this is a hunters bow! It is as quiet as any of my longbows i have had and quieter by FAR than any recurve i have had(over20). The grip fits me like a glove and is big so i dont torque the bow...Mike and Jason recommended about 3 arrow combos that would put broadheads right in the bullesye..and guess what ..they all do..I told Jason that i shoot 3 under, and he tuned thebow..brace height and nock point for me..Well I got the arrow combo he recommended and whammo! no tuning required on my part with a variety of broadheads...Here are some pics enjoy! I am...

Very nice bow. You got a good one there.
Nice looking bow, enjoy.
That's Pretty!

Beautiful bow...love the wood combo. They are shooters for sure. I've been shooting a Left hand Fedora for a month now, an older one and it really spits an arrow.
Now all you need is a nice whitetail to step out in front of you. Good luck with it.........Joe
Yes indeed, The Fedora Folks sure do make great shooting bows! Sounds like your real happy with yours. Yours is beauty! Good Luck with it and Good Hunting!
Sweet bow for sure. Congrats!
Thanks guys..it really spits the fmj arrows like lasers..I just shot 3d and all the wheel guys were fascinated with the bow...another thing i have noticed is there is no..and i mean no handshock even though my arrows are a little on the light side....

It must have gone to the wrong location. Send it to the above address ASAP!
:goldtooth:
So that is a double carbon limb from Fedora!?!?!
That is pretty cool. I went to their website and don't see it mentioned as an option. Is this a super custom order or one off custom?
How much extra would the carbon cost?
Great looking bow!
The story behind this bow was that Mike made it for someone who ended up hurting his shoulder at work and could no longer pull 60#... so i was looking for a bow and called Mike ,(this is my 4th bow from the Fedora's, and having met in person he knows my dimensions and likes))...and of course if you know Mike he said "have i got the bow for you!" and yes it was more than i wanted as i was looking for a plain workin mans bow. Then being the good Italian man he is..he made me an offer i couldnt refuse! So here i am owning the absolute best bow i have ever shot and it fits me perfectly just like brother Mike said it would. I will be bringing it up north this week when i meet Jason to do some salmon fishing..it will be great to see him put it thru its paces!
I ve seen this bow and it's very nice
If ya have a chrono please post up some speeds
I'm a big fan of thumb rests...I had Kempf build me a small thumb ledge for my Stealth T/D and my new longbow.
The Fedora I'm practicing with now gives perfect hand alignment and the slight palm swell makes for a sweet holding and shooting bow. The extra mass in the riser also helps to eliminate torque. Still waiting on mine.......... :archer2:
You can always trust an Italian in a deal. It will be a deal you can't refuse. (:
Very nice bow.
Martin
You can trust the Fedora's-great bows that do not disappoint!
Joe..
Yes the thumbrest is awesome as you know..i never even pay attention to the grip. its just there...and his grips are always a little thicker but man they just slide right in there...
and being Italian myself i know when to take an offer!
I will try and chrono it this week, even with the dacron string it i as fast as anything i have shot to my eyes anyways(including my Predator, but MUCH quieter)..Terry Green in one of the threads mentioned the 560 he shot was quieter than many of the longbows he had shot..he wasnt kidding. i had been shooting my 58# firefly with the same arrows and i was shooting about 6" higher the first few rounds..
also i have noticed the limbs are incredibly stable when held at length by the tips..really cool!
Love my 560, and what great people to deal with...........enjoy!
I just got a new bow from Mike and a couple hours of instruction about a month ago Mine has blood wood in it too . He cured my Target Panic in one session WITH OUT aids .
Great guy to deal with and I LOVE the new bow
Thumb rests are really comfortable, had one on a Centaur. Nice looking bow.
Thanks all..really starting to get in the groove with this bow...Shooting very consistent out to 27 paces..( very confident to 20 paces)must be do to the torque free grip and flat trajectory
I planed on starting the season with a new bow but have decided to fall back on an old fav 560 great bows
Would love to.hear what grain arrow and how fast this bow is shooting
Double post
Wow, that is a nice bow!!! Congrats!
sweet ! love the wood combo !
Love the wood combo!!
JParanee..Jason and Mike are proponents of lighter arrows for deer...and that is what i hunt....So Jasons recommendation was a 400 fmj cut at 28 1/2 " with a 125 grain tip. No trimmimg no bareshafting no pointloading.Mike likes the weight to be throughout the arrowshaft because te paradox recovers much quicker. That is what i bought and they are darts, with any broadhead. They weigh in around 460 grains but they penetrate much better than other arrows i have around and tried. Will try and chrono tomorrow if i can....
I have a hunter t/d model with Blacklocust limbs. It is a a rocket! Probably 20yrs old still one of my go to bows.

Max I know Mike and Jason well and I almost bought the bow you just got but with 4 560's on the rack and just buying 2 silver tips I was a bit strapped for cash so did not. Needless to say I am pleased it went to someone who appreciates it and I am I bit jealous :) . Very curious on speed because 2 of my 560 s are very similar and I am getting mid 190 s with a 530 grain arrow and just very curious what the double carbon is doing I know speed doesn't kill but when ya have a Ferrari ya wonder how fast it is :) Again great bow congrats of all my bows nothing hits as hard and fast as my Fedora's
Thanks
Tick...Tick....Tick.....still waiting on my 560....
:dunno:
I've been shooting a LH 560 now for a month, courtesy of my hunting buddy Southpawshooter. This bow was built in the mid 80's....52# at 27" (54# at 28) and it handles my 2117's super. They weigh in at 525 and 535 grains. Also my AD Trad Lites come in at 600 grs and the bow handles them well also.
Joe
Mike does take his time..sometimes a little gentle prodding helps ;)
JP...are you shooting ff or b-50
I shoot ff on all of my 560's
I have shown these before
I love my 560's

You have struck gold!!!!
Waiting on an Xtreme for my son. Just got one used myself. Great bows.
Beautiful bows....Mine will be Charcoal dymondwood riser with Bamboo limbs, built up for FF string. I asked for Gray Actionwood limbs because this hunting bow will get used hard but Mike said Bamboo would do me better. :readit: :saywhat: :dunno:
mighty shiny. yepper mighty shiny.
Joe
