The early Doe season opened today here in southeast PA and i went out behind our house and sat in my ground blind. Had a BIG eight point with a split brow tine and a 22" spread come through feeding on acorns. He was with a little three point.I have not got this buck on my trail cam yet but now i know he's there. Looks like i have a BIG buck to hunt and archery season for buck opens in two weeks....let the games begin.
Knowing he's there will give you more determination to stay the course and put in time . Will also justify passing up smaller bucks . Good luck with him , Fred
Yep, good luck with him.
Nice, I hope you have fun!
All I saw were the girls today.

best wishes on the hunt. :archer2:
Motivation and hope have been instilled by the encounter with this golden carrot.
Best of luck and an even better enjoyment of the hunt.
Soooo Jealous of all you folks who get to hunt early!!! All the threads on here about Elk and Deer in September just drive me nuts.... :banghead: ....
I wanna play too... :( , but Indiana says not till October. So I'll remain patient for another 12 days, but who's counting....12 more days.....Then I can have fun with the rest of you guys......12 days..... :banghead: I DON'T WANNA WAIT 12 MORE DAYS!!!!!!
Ok Ok I'll quit now. Good luck to all and let's see some early bird pics from those of you lucky few. Good luck with your BIG DEER and kill a few of them ladies to keep them in check!
The irony of bucks during doe season!! I have seen bucks only the past two years during doe season here in Michigan but last night I had a doe and 3 fawns come trough. Did no take a shot - was just not feeling it - but it sure felt good to be back in a tree. Maybe this morning??
