The arrow does have UBM right on it and I'd bet my left sock that it was an auction item at the UBM banquet.

Per the Loss Creek website it's pyrography (woodburning) and they offer it on the arrows they make.
Since they can customize the wording on the arrow I would imagine they have some kind of rig where they can put together metal letters similar to printing press type and then heat it up for the burn/stamp.
