Title: field and stream climber
Post by: hydrasport205 on September 15, 2011, 11:54:00 AM
anybody use the field and stream primetime  lite climing stand? im thinking about buying one because the fromt bar that you sit on to climb is removable. Something the summit stand doesnt offer or I would have bought a summit. They are about half the price as a summit also but the main reason for wanting the field and stream is the front bar slides out..

summit makes the razor model with that feature sort of, climb with the bar and than fold the bar under the seat once you get up to your hunting height.

that is also how the Lone Wolf works.  the sit bar swings down.   I would be concerned a bit about a removable bar....you might drop it and be SOL 16 feet up.

I have seen those but I still like the ideal of sliding the whole bar out.

I have never used one but I went to the Dick's Website and it sound pretty good. Lightweight, folds flat.
I couldn't tell from the picture how the bar removed.

I would stick with a Summit or Lone Wolf. Both have been making stands a long time and have learned a lot of lessons in that time. The Summits are comparably priced as well.

Both are made in the USA as well.
