has anyone tried them? They look really mean, but I have not heard much on them. I was thinking of trying a few out.
Adam, I have 3 I'm playing with of the 300 gr. I have some coming in next week for stock. Good so far, tough spin perfect. Just have to see how they act in the field for sure, I think they will do great.
I just got in some 250s. They are the most solid, strong looking broadhead that I have ever handled. I sharpened them up on my Lansky knife sharpener at a 25 deg bevel. Now they are the sharpest broadhead I've ever handled. I'm very impressed.
Good stuff. If you get any of the 150 grain in let me know, I will take a pack and give em a try.
Thanks bob
They sure appear to breath lethality.
I haven't used the penetrators, but I have a quiver full of the terminators. They are an excellent broadhead. Every shot I've taken with them, including several misses into the rocks, I've been able to resharpen and reuse them. Love 'em!
Same here I haven't used the penetrators but if they are even half as tough as the terminator then they should last a long time and be great bh's
I just used the 250's in Africa. They performed well out of a pretty light bow with heavy high foc arrows.
I love the terminators, but the penetrators are serious broadheads. I can't imagine a scenario where they aren't over built. The only terminators I have ruined were hit by other terminators. Otherwise they are easy to resharpen.
I will have my penetrators KME'd shortly and will see how they do on California bear and deer hide.
Yip Iv had my Hands on a Few of the 250's for a while, have a big batch of 300's and 150's on the way which ill be testing out back in SA when i finish up the guiding here and head home.
Im a broadhead NUT been doing a lot of testing "in the field" I like to test things on meat and bone.
These things like the Terminators are Outstanding in every way, even for way more money you can not get a better head.
I made a promise to the guys at VPA that i could break one "In the field" and for nearly 2 years iv have failed.
They are so strong, design, materials and finish are above and beyond. Its a broadhead that i can shoot through a Buffalo, dig it out of the dirt, touch up to re-sharpen and put back in the quiver ready to go again.
Iv been sharpening the Penetrators on a landsky for a super sharp edge.
Gotta give these things a try if you like serious gear.
I just came back from a successful bear hunt using the 200 gr 3 blade terminator. It blew through the bear and into the ground. Did a little touch up on the head, and it's back in the quiver for deer season. Great head.
who sells them?
Thanks
They look like a great replacement for the Grizzly El Grande's if they don't start building them again. Tough looking head!
Glenn
HMMM???? My post was yanked. Whats up with that?
Amicus asked who sells them and I just happened to order those heads from a dealer listed on VPA's website and they offered free shipping so I figured I'd help the guy out since he wanted to know where to buy them.
The Penetrator head is made to the same high standards that the Terminator head is made. I shoot 150 grain Terminators and I'm telling ya, you will have a hard time finding a head that is so tough and so easy to sharpen. If you do, chances are VPA makes it anyway. I'll be shooting the Terminator heads for a very, very long time.
