A recent customer told me, "what ever you want to use is up to you, just use some purple heart in the riser if you have some". That makes things easier, and I like the results, and it let's me try new combos. This one's Purple heart and myrtle.

Nice!
Not a big fan of Purple Heart but I like that. Very nice!
Sweeeeeet!!
my wife's bow is purple heart and curly maple. great combo. I like this one also!
Sharp!!
Wow, I like it!!!
Thanks guys, the only thing I'd have liked to do different was use some thin, stripes between the P'heart and the Myrtyl. I just couldn't make up my mind on anything. I had some black glass, decided against it, I had some thin maple, decide against it, and I found I was wasting too much time thinking about it so I just glued up that riser block, figured the thin black glue lines should suffice.
I like the combo, very sharp! Nice job Mike!

That looks great Mike but I think the black glass would have been awesome in it too! I love Purpleheart if you can keep the color true, tends to really fade. I have a HOOTS longbow I just put a nonyellowing finish on to help hold that color better. Again she's a looker, awesome job!!
looks good.
real nice
Nice looking riser. A good combination of woods.
