Title: Who done it?
Post by: Dozer on September 09, 2011, 08:38:00 PM
Could someone please identify the make and model of this bow. I can't get a clear picture of the riser info but this is what is written on it.

160101 B
58"
XX50" 28

My Father-In-Law gave it to me. He has no idea how old it is but he's had it for a long time. What I find VERY interesting is the aluminum dove-tailed insert on the riser that serves as the take-down 'hinge'. I sure would like to know more about it if anyone could help.

Ben Pearson made bows that went from penny cheap to pretty darn good. HUGE name in archery history. HUGE.

Dozer,  I've got one just like it hanging on my wall.  It has quite a bit of limb twist when strung.  I think those bows are prone to that.  I also don't think Pearson made many of them for that reason.  But that's not to say that particular one will.

I have one that I used to take 2 hogs in Texas. The limbs have no twist and the bow is smooth to draw PM me if you want to sell it.

Hello John Didn't know you were still around. Hope all is well slightly north of here.

That's  a good looking bow.
