I have to say thank you to Scott at Timberhawk bows. I am new to traditional archery and sent Scott no less than 15 emails and called him 4 times. I am a right handed archer that is left eye dominate. I know this sounds bad but I had trouble pulling a 30 pound bow and holding it with my left arm, by the time he was ready to build my bow. I had changed the poundage 3 times. I ended up at 45@28.
My bow is spot on 45# @ 28 and is 54 at my draw which is 31. To Scott's credit he answered all my questions and some I asked more than once. I didn't get his top of the line bow but I feel like I got the top of the line help. I am couldn't be happier with the way my bow turned out. It not only looks great to me but it has been fun to shoot. Scott sends out directions on how to tune his bows. Being new to archery this helped me out a lot.
To me not only does this bow look good but shoots even better.

I agree. Scott is top shelf. I spoke to him quite a bit at Denton Hill and really liked his bows.
Always great to hear about good service and someone who cares about their product and customers :)
Sweet bow! I had one of Scott's recurves and his work is second to none. Congrats on yours!
I have looked at his bows several times and I'm always impressed with the workmanship.....
Smoooth bows! Congrats on a fine looking bow!
I met Scott at Denton. He is as everyone describes... Top Shelf.
He also builds a very shootable bow. I have always admired his bows.
Beautiful bow. If I ever buy a custom bow, it will be a Timberhawk.
Very nice bow.
Scott is a great guy and his bows are fantastic.
Congrats on your new bow!
One of the nicest and most talented bowyers out there. I have one of his longbows and will be ordering one of his recurves soon. Some of the best bows you'll ever shoot! Nice bow, by the way. Good luck with it.
The bow looks super... Glad you decided to go "lefty" to use that "good" eye.
Love mine! You got a good looking bow there!
I have 3 TH's and agree that Scott is a talented bowyer with 1st Class service before & after the sale!
Seems so many T/D's have bulky risers but Scott really pulled of some smooth lines with this jewel! Enjoy and happy killin.
The grip looks veeeeeeeeeery nice!
It's a work of art. Really sweet.
Nice bow and good luck with it. :archer2:
The best of the best.
I have to tell you that I just got a call from Scott, asking if there were any problems or if I had any questions. I am not sure when I will be able to get another custom bow but I know where I will get it from. Just incredible
great bow and bowyer! probably the best kept secret (and value) out there.
enjoy!
Great looking bow, congrats!
I'm posting this from the Kzoo show. I shot ALL the big name bows the last two days, returning them to their shelves afterward. I shot one of Scott's one piece recurves (54" 47@28) and couldn't get the money out of my wallet fast enough! His bow fit me like an extension of my arm and shot where I looked every time. Nothing but a soft thump at release.
I had never heard of Timberhawk or Scott but he's now my go to bowyer. Later today I picked up one of his T/D recurves and was again blown away.
I'll post pics when I get home tomorrow but wanted to get this up.
Does he have a web page ?
His website is timberhawkbows.com, but from talking to Scott I don't know how up to date the site is. Give him a call at 812-837-9340 and I'm sure he'll mail you one of his brochures.
Scott builds fine bows and is a nice guy to boot.
I am just as happy today as the day I got my bow..... it performs its smooth or yeah very accurate...
My next bow will be his Falcon....
Tax return being spent already
I have the Timberhawk Strike 60 inch. Received it in the mail August 2011. It is made of Zebrawood & Cocobolo. Absolute quality, craftsmanship, and quiet. The crowned shelf is right even with the web of your hand. It was built 51@28, but my new form puts me with a 27" draw and it scales #48 @ 27. With a 429g arrow, I chronographed it at 169 fps.
I knew I was going to get a takedown for 2012 and I was dead set on a New Bob Lee, but shooting the Timberhawk Strike, I just had to go with Scott. I like Bob Lees but I like the Timberhawk too and I get more for the same money. The new one is ordered already. It will be a Chechen riser with an Osage half moon stripe, and Osage Limb lams with Chechen overlays by the bolts and tips, and the 3 stage overlay.
