Went out tonite and shot my deer target with purpose,waaay better than when its 90 in the evenin!!
Then still had time to drive around the section, saw a doe in some beans, then in a hayfield, 6 bucks.
The smallest, a forkhorn and the largest ,a notsureof#ofpoints, but large and had a split g-2 had shed velvet and were wearin reddish-orange antlers.

It was in the mid 80s here again today, did see some deer in the alflafa!!! We have a month and a half to go!! Shawn

86 in Pittsburgh today but supposed to really drop in the next couple of days into the highs of 60's.

I'm tired of the heat as well Kenny. Been putting off setting up my last ladder stand. It goes up today and then I'm out of the woods until season opens.
Can't wait.

99 - 100 here just a few days ago and today high of 73. Going to be a great day.

I checked ladder stands yesterday, gonna put the hangons (the good spots) back up today, and enjoy this cool! 52 right now, thats 50 less than a couple weeks back and only 20 from freezin!! Woooeee :bigsmyl:
PS- Charlie, the large buck was 200 yds off the south place and should be in there,lots better cover there! :coffee:

It's 92 degrees as I type this, but it's supposed to 57 degrees by tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.
For us in Texas, it has been one brutal dry and hot summer with the highest temperature at my house this summer, 109 degrees.
