I have read the info on Big Foots,web page. There is alot there so I read it a couple of times. Doe"s any one have any reviews? good or bad. I have not seen any on the classifieds.That could be a good thing.I am not a boyer but there concepts seem interesting.Thanks Burt

Burt, I own a Bigfoot onepiece recurve. The bow is carbon backed, 62 in.55 lb. The draw profile is a little over 2 lb per inch out to 29 inches. Thelimbs are very narrow for a recurve bow but have extremely good verticle and horizontal stability. The bow came with a 10 strand custom astro flight string. and a bowsock.
My first impression was man this is light. It felt like a longbow but has a fairly large riser. The woods are evidently what makes this individual bow light. They are extremely high figured curley maple and bocate. Very stunning .
I strung the bow up and took it out to my target and test shot. When I shot the bow the arrow was in the target. Just that fast there was absolutely no detectable hand shock or vibration. This is one of the most dead in the hand bows I have ever shot. That is a sign of perfectly timed limbs and master craftsmanship. This individual bow is also one of the quickest bows I have ever shot in its weight. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this bow as a strong 9 only because I know that there is always room for improvment. I also know that Kirk Lavender is very possibly the person that will discover what that improvment is going to be and build the 10.

Burt, I bought a one piece Sasquatch (#45 at 28") and never looked back, it looks great and shoots even better. Being a newbie to the traditional archery scene I scoured this site looking for information on "the most awesomistic" bow.
After looking at every link in the sponsors menu...over and over again I kept finding myself looking at Bigfoot Bows more than the others and decided to call Mr. Lavender.
That decision sealed the deal. Kirk received the phone call as if he were expecting it. Answered all of my questions and bent over backward to get the bow shipped.
I received it in a well packed box and it was wrapped in a "sack-up" sock. The string was already setup with a nock
point, so all I had to do was to brace it and start shooting! (Only I couldn't for reasons that would take too long to explain). Anyway....after getting my new fletching jig I was able to start launching feathered arrows with my new
bow.
First impression was a smmoooooth draw followed by a humming string. In the weeks that followed my skill as an archer has increased exponentially with the Sasquatch. This ends my review mostly due to the fact of being so new to the sport I don't know what the hell I'm talking about....but I do know craftsmanship and I can tell when a guy cares about his work and in those areas Kirk is aces in my book.

I'm waiting for some Yeti owneers to chime in here. I shot one and the bow was a really great shooting little bow.

Kirk and I have tried out each others bows, He brought a bunch of them down to Medford and he shot some targets and I flung at em. I was impressed with the performance of every bow of his that I shot. There was one that was exceptional though. It was built with doug fir core. He still has that bow and its for sale. someone that wants a good bow ought to take that one off his hands.

When Kirks traveler came through Billings I ran over to Ernies house to shoot it and man that thing was smoooooooth and fast. I dont think anyone who purchases one from him will be sorry...Saving up my pennies right now as a matter of fact.

Kirk is a great guy. We shoot together at TBW events. I always swing by his booth to check out his bows at the shoots. They are smooth drawing fast shooting bows.

I bought his Yeti he had in stock. It is 54" long and I draw 28" with no problem. I am used to metal handle ILF bows, so this is quite a change. I love this little bow. It is fast with no hand shock and draws very smooth. The first 3D shoot I took it to the guys I shoot with couldn't believe how good it shot. You can't go wrong with one of his bows.

I don't know much about Kirk or Bigfoot bows; but when his name comes up here on TG, this is about what I always hear. It's always very good. That alone is worth stopping and thinking about.

Yes, I have one with two sets of limbs, one at 40# and one at 53# - it's quiet, stable, shock free and gets an arrow from here to there in an amazingly short time. You absolutely can't go wrong with one of Kirk's bows.

Up top for Kirk, just traded Emails with him today, mine will be waiting on me when I get to the states in December. Kirk has answered all my questions and then some. If you thinking of a new bow, give Kirk a call, you will not find a more pleasant and helpful bowyer.
