Just took 6 trial shots for the first time since February! I am not shooting the weight I am used to, but my first longbow ever( a Harold Couch 3 pc td, 45#@28") is stacking em in the killzone.
Granted I was only shooting 12 yards, but after such a bad injury, I will take it.
Come on deer woods...I will be ready. :jumper:
Good to hear Jamie!!
Some great news right there and hope it continues!
Got you email, and will respond soon....just got in after a few days off.

Great news, best of luck this season!
Thanks everyone. I am relieved beyond words. I was literally told I wouldn't be able to shoot/hunt unless I got major surgery. Well hard work with physical therapy, and on my own, got it done without surgery.
Shooting is such a big part of me and my lifestyle. So today was a good day. It got even better when my boy insisted on getting his "real bow and arrows" and the lessons have officially begun. I am very proud to report his last two shots hit the target!
Again, thank you all. Being able to come here and live vicariously through you all helped me tremendously...
congratulations and more good shooting!

John
way to go man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATS!!! Great to hear! You have to be excited. Working through similar issues myself. Just released from PT today. Not pain free. Not where I used to be. But I can put an arrow at the mark from a 43# bow at 15 yards!
Still going to be working the exercises and if I don't come out of it completely beforehand I will likely quit shooting for a month or two once the season is over and just focus on strength and recovery.
I am almost pain free...the numbness is all gone. But getting here was terrible...especially after finding out I was basically immune to the good pain meds at the emergency room. Lol.
I lost almost two inches of muscle(circumfrence) in my right arm.
I am so glad to be shooting again...and to be doing it painlessly is a blessing.
Thanks everyone. I knew you would understand. Lol.
congrats, glad your back shooting!!
Awesome Jamie! I'm very happy for you. Have a great season. A 45# bow ought to do the trick on those big NY deer.
Definately a moment for celebration and no better moment to share your own excitement.
"yes we/YOU can!" LMAO
Good for you!!
Congrats

Today, as soon as his eyes were open, my boy asked if we could shoot the "real" bows. I told him he had to eat breakfast and then we could.
I think shooting with my little dude makes shooting again so much sweeter.
