In the how to about sharpening the WW's what kind of file and stone is Mr. Lamb using? would like to try this with the WW's i have. Thanks.
Curious as well. Seen people use the 12" grobet file from 3R, but that's about all I know.
A Nicholson or Grobet 12" for initial and a 6" for finishing work is my guess. I use ceramic stones but they may be using diamond stones for some final work.
Remember also to look at 3R's " how to " for sharpening tips. You kind of take everybodies ideas and come up with the method that works best for you. It's recommended to chalk the files to help prevent filings from filling the grooves as quickly.
I use a 12" Grobet from Kustom King. Then 3 grades of Smith Arkansas stones. Then a diamond stick. Slices my tomatoes on no pressure contact.

The file in the video is a Nicholson, but it could be any file that's wide enough to accept two blades at a time when sharpening a 3 blade head. (method works for all 3 blades)
Mill Bastard Cut is the most commonly found file that big at hardware stores. I prefer "Smooth Cut". It makes a much finer finish than the bastard, but of course doesn't remove stock as quickly.
I like Grobet files for there quality of cut, sharpness, and longevity. Someone once told me you could file the teeth off a Nicholson with a Grobet. Of course I had to try it.
My experiment didn't do either file any favors, but the Grobet won for sure.
Since the video was made I've replaced the stone with one of comparable size by Norton. Both stones had two grits.
With stones I've found bigger is better for me.
