Iam looking to try a new broadhead this year.Just like to know what are some of the favorite ones used out there?God Bless!!!Joey
Magnus 1 135 grain is all I use anymore.
i like the 150 stingers and grizzly 160with a insert puts them bout 205ish and gonna try the abowyers this year and see how i like em
160 grain Woodsman Elite
Thanks guys, lets hear some more.James I took my best buck with a Magnus 135 grain.
160 grain Ribtek.
Zwickey: Eskimo, Delta
One of my faves is the eclipse!!! A lil harder on the rockwell scale... holds quite the edge without being hard to sharpen! I use the rada wheelie and get em shaving sharp rather easily..
The teflon coating was an idea ahead of it's time!!!
Old bear razor heads! New woodsmen heads!!
Zwickey 2- and 4-blade deltas, STOS 2-blade, Magnus II 2-blade and Abowyer Wapiti 2-blade single bevels.
VPA deffinetly a solid broadhead!!
All my favorite make much blood. Simmons, Snuffers,Mag I and Woodsmans.
This year I will be shooting a lite poundage bow first of the season with woodsmans then a heavier set up with big old fashioned Snuffers for deer.Maybe gaff one with a Simmons as well. RC
I would not hesitate to shoot a Zwickey Delta 4 blade at anything in N. America with most of my bows. That head has fallen way more game for me than any other.
Yes, I have taken game with other heads along the way....the the ZD4 is my favorite by far.
Simmons' Landshark 165's will be on my arrows Sept 24.....I also have some Woodsman Elites and Stelforce Phatheads to try out later on in the season....
VPA/Woodsman Elite in the 175 grain and up depending on what weight point you need to get your setup to fly right.
Zwickey delta 2 blade. I've got some tree sharks on the way that will really have to impress to be in my quiver.
2 blade Ace Super Express 200gr.
There are a whole bunch of really good broadheads out there now. I guess when I find something that works for me I tend to stick with it. That's why I've preferred Bear 4 blade Razorheads for the past forty-four years with good success.

Magnus Stingers and VPA Terminators
Bill
ACE 160 STD
Ace Standard, followed closely by Zwickey Deltas.
I'll be using a Simmons Shark head, ordered a few different models to try. I figure it's going to come down to either the Safari or the Treeshark (that 2" cutting diameter really has me intrigued).
How about Zwickey Eskimo 4 blade, Ace Standard, Magnus II, Bear Razorhead, Woodsman....(I have trouble picking just one!)

These are both very good choices, among others.
Allan
Too many good ones to pick from now days,
Am partial to WW's STOS and I haven't tried them yet but the new VPA Terminators I think are going to be a new favorite.
blackstumps.
WW only because I have enough to last awhile. Started trying some differant ones this year though so I can compare them.
Woodsmans or Magnus 1, 4 blade.
Saying that, I have a bucketfull of good broadheads & I usually just grab the first 4 I come to.
Zwickey 4s, or mangnus snuffer
Razorcap I like the ability to change head weight by just changing ferule size and replacing blade cartridges is cheaper than buying a hole new head.
For me the Muzzy Phantoms have worked extremely well. I can get them hair popping sharp with the KME sharpener and the hardened high quality steel really holds an razor edge for a long time in the quiver. I like the woodsman too but they don't hold a razor edge as long and aren't as strong.
Grizzleys, whatever weight works with the arrow I am using. If they wasn't so expensive I would say the Abowyer brownbear.
Even though they are stupid expensive, I still have to give the number one vote to my German Kinetic Silverflame XL's!
Bisch
For me the deadliest head I have shot since the mid 50's is the Razorcap. Muzzy Phantoms and Woodsman's are right there with them.
Muzzy 125gr 4bl in either standard or Phantom form!
I've been bowhunting for 47 years. I've shot Bear Razorheads, Pearson Deadheads and Zwickeys, but the best broadhead I've ever shot was with a 2 blade STOS. They fly true, they're very strong, the tips don't curl and they're easy to sharpen.
I used the STOS on my very heavy arrow setups. I've gone to a lightweight arrow setup this year and I know I'll miss my STOS since I have to use a much lighter grain weight broadhead this year.
The one that kills my first buck!

You think it's better than the Ashby head?
SF assembled from parts, Ashby solid piece of steel.
???
Yep both crazy expensive but as long as you don't loose them they would probably last you the remainder of your bow hunting career. The Abowyer is an impressive head also for a lot less money but I've never killed anything with them or had one in my hand.
I love the Eclipse and STOS heads. This year I am jumpin' ship and trying some awesome looking and shooting heads. The Red Feather Archery "Phoenix" 3 blade, single bevel heads. The 3:1 design is looking like it will do the job!
160 gr. Snuffers since 1976 !
TreeSharks
160 snuffers......
I like my 190 Grizzly El Grande's!
Glenn
Zwickey Eskimo 2 Blade in to the boiler room and through. So I can use it as many times as I can until sharpening it takes to much weight of to fly correctly.

I'll second that!
Zwickey Eskimo.
For the money - A big ole Snuffer.
The original silver flame. For a glue on the grizzly el grande.
I tried some abowyers last season, the 190 javelina's. Awsome head and done the job twice with no problems.
I decided to order some more today and found out they discontinued them. They had a dozen and a half left so I bought them all :D
I'll be getting some lighter weight heads from Abowyer for a little lighter setup.
Abowyers are my flavor of choice
El Grandes.
Have mostly used Grizzly 190 El Grandes and they have worked great on deer and hogs. Shot some of the Brown Bears and they were good also. Broke 2 of the stainles heads, one shooting through a hog and hitting rock and one in a target against another head. Never had this with the carbon head or Grizzly. Ordered the Tuff-Head and they really look good. This would be my perfect
Head if it had the screw insert. Also have some of the VPA's on order. Looking forward to trying them all.
Big Jim 'Big 3'...1.5"s...300 gn...of mayhem and disaster.
Note: Big 3's are made by VPA
Check out the thread titled 'Back from Magersfontein in RSA' under 'The Dark Continent' forum for examples of their lethality.
Woodsman Elites/VPA's
VPA 's for sure.
The Pink one is for Girls , the Black one is for boys and the Shiny one's....for: what the heck is that???? :D

i really hoped to see
!["" "[dntthnk]"]("graemlins/dntthnk.gif")
some pichers , but is ok
i Know they are not cut on contact...but i have them and will use them
200gr Woodsman Elite
Zwickey Delta.
The big Magnus-1 being a close second...ONLY because I have more hours on stand with a Zwickey on the end of my arrows.
ACE STANDARD. kill'n critters for many years
(http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w31/clwalkerpic/IMG_0872.jpg)
I like Magnus Stingers
This one went thru both lungs on last years buck and stuck so hard in the joint that I broke it while trying to pull it out.
Snuffers are good but with a 42lb. bow Stingers are better.
Zwickey Delta 2 blade.
Get to killing some critters with whatever sharp broadhead youve got and it will be your favorite one for sure.
Zwickey Eskimos 2 blade or Ace 125 gr standard
