Title: String Question???
Post by: Hogdgz on August 15, 2011, 08:52:00 PM
Does a 12 strand 8125 string have to have the loops padded for a bow with reinforced fast flight tips?

f8125 is a smaller diameter hmpe fiber and i would add 4 to 6 more loop strands to both flemish and endless bowstrings.

With 8125 I would go to 16 total in the loop area.

What about a 12 strand D97? Does it need extra in the loops? Endless string with #4 BYC nylon serving??

All my strings are paded to 16 in the loops. It is cheap insurance, and helps with noise on Recurves.

Yup!

I shoot 8 strand strings and pad to 16 in the loops. The taper helps quiet the string on longbows too.
