Which grip do yall like best on the the PL longbows: (Standard, Toby Grip, LAG Grip)
I currently have the standard but wanted to see how everyone liked the other grips, the Toby grip seems to be rounder and the LAG seems to have more dish in the grip.
I like the Toby over the standard grip. Large hands here.
I visited the BW shop in MO in July and shot several of their bows with different grips. My favorite grip on their LB's was the "Toby" but I'm use to shooting Massie "longhorns" with a palm swell. I would suggest taking advantage of their "try it before you buy it plan" especially if you are going to be ordering a new bow direct from BW. I find grips to be very personal. What I like might not work for you at all. Good luck.
I'm not much help, as I haven't tried any except the standard grip on four different longbows that me and a mate bought. Between us, we killed about thirty head of game, and had a lot of fun shooting them. If I ever bought another, I reckon I would go with the standard grip, because I know it.
I've had both the LAG and the PL,I preferred the standard PL over the LAG grip.Never felt or shot the Toby grip, but like said grips are a personal choice.
I've got a PSR with a Shrew grip and it is perfect. The Toby is similar, bot not as fitting in the hand..
Thanks for the replies, guess I might try the test program.
I did not like the Black Widow PL or PSR at all with the standard grip. But when I got to try the Toby grip, I bought a PLX with the Toby grip, and I really, really like it.
I got my last PL with a LAG grip and then built it to suit myself from there. I like a more "full" grip.
