Hello everyone i have been lurking in the shadows for some time now but i am finally coming out to say hello and to say what a fine bunch of people we have here at trad gang.I have learned so much from you guys that i can't really express in writing how i feel about that.My dad started this trad madness by giving me a dan quillian longhunter at 68in. 68# needless to say way to much bow for a newbie.well now i have 3 longbows one at 45# and the other at 50# and shoot them good.I have also got 3 recurves 2 at 50# and one td at 55#.thanks dad.ha ha anyway sorry for the long post, had to make up for lost time, you guys are great, richard mitchell aka rmitch1234

Welcome, and a hearty Canadian hello too.
Greetings and welcome! If you haven't gotten rid of the heavy longbow, here is what I do with mine. I have a heavy bow (too heavy to shoot well)that I leave strung up (won't hurt fiberglass bows unless you leave them in the heat). I pull it a few times before I go to bed, and it helps keep the muscles in tone.
