This is one of the 1st traditional bows I bought. It's a Ancient Spirits Mt. Ash and it shot where I looked! And it WAS beautiful!
I had been shooting it the last few days and today after about 20 minutes and at full draw, it snapped! Kinda scared me!! :scared:

nooooooooo. well at least you can get another set of limbs for her. Plus no one was hurt, most importantly!!!
ouch. Glad you did not get hurt.
Always hurts to have a good bow give up the ghost. Inquisitive. How long is the bow and what's your draw length.
Glad you are OK. Sorry abt the bow
It happens. I have had it happen twice. It sucks no matter what bow it is.
My condolences to you, sir,
Bisch
I hate it when bows break.
Like others have said, glad you were not hurt.
Orion,
The bow is(was) 62" and my draw length is 28 1/2". I do have another set of limbs for the riser, but their only 56". I'm not real big on the shorter bows. Good for blinds, but I prefer longer bows for everyday shooting.
My bows are good friends. Hate to see that.
The limb fracture is disheartening, but hearing you were unharmed is eventful and much to be thankful for.
Oh Joe, say it isn't so! But the pics say it's true......man, glad you are OK.
Danny
I've had it happen twice, the second time I got hurt,NO fun.so glad your OK.
Sorry to see that happen! I lost a grizzly this summer due to the high temps in the garage. Glad no one was hurt - bow limbs are replaceable!
Very unlucky indeed. You certainly were not over stressing the limbs with your draw length given the bow length. Perhaps there was some glue starvation in that area.
I Agree, Lucky Ya Didnt get Thumped!! Sad to see & hear about all the same! :archer:
Dang.
Sorry to see this! Glad you are OK.
Oh boy that's a real shame. New limbs on order yet?
I wish I could order new limbs. Ancient Spirits is long gone(unfortunately leaving a bad taste with a lot of people) and Tracy Trickett is taking a leave from bow building to take care of some personal issues.
I've got a Kanati and a Marriah Thermal to hunt with in the early season!
I will survive all this :D . I have a new Timberhawk coming next month and a Assenheimer due in about 3 months. But....I'm sure going to miss that bow!!
Sorry about your bow, glad you weren't hurt.
Maybe you can find another bowyer to build you some limbs. That riser is a beauty, is that ebony?
Joe,
Try Bob Morrison. He might be able to build a set of limbs for you for the bow. Or check with Brandon Stahl. He builds limbs for the Bear T/D recurve.
Bill
Yes, it's ebony. It's a beautiful riser. It also has a inlayed pinecone on the grip.
glad you werenot hurt how old was the bow?
Time for new limbs. It happens. Sorry for your loss.
Plumber,
The bow is about 5 years old. I would guess, I've only put about 500 arrows through her.
That's a bad thing to see! glad you weren't hurt.
