Awhile back I bought a used Big 5 from the classified it was 70'' long with a slight dish grip. It was a little too long and underweight for what I wanted and the grip was all wrong. I sent it to Craig and he cut her down to 66'' changed it to a straight grip put tip overlays and new leather, now she's a keeper.

Great Hill bow Boyd!
Barry
I sold the Big 5 that I bought from you, which was a mistake on my part. This one won't be for sale any time soon. :) .....stabow
"SWEET!"

......most Hills I've seen do!
Congratulations!

Boyd, now I want it back! I used to own that bow....sold it to Shinken from whom I believe you bought it. Looks beautiful....Dave :clapper:
If that was the bow I sold Shinken, it was built by Ted Kramer. She was a bit too light in draw for me as well. You're gonna' like that bow now.
That was the one :bigsmyl: ......stabow
Sweet looking bow! Congrats on getting her the way you wanted.
**FABULOUS** Boyd!
In the metamorphoses she turned out great and I am glad that you have found something suitable to shoot!
Craig does do *excellent* work!
Shoot straight, Shinken

Boyd, if the Big Five that you sold is the one that I bought, that was no mistake! It was destiny! :D
Also, this thread is starting to look like the first meeting of The Left Handed Hill Fans Club. :)
Somebody tell Ron we forgot to call him!
Saaaaweeettttt! Beauty!
I'm a proud member of the left handed Hill club.
I'm not a member of the left handed Hill Club, but I am a member of the Hill Voyeurs Club. I can look at them all day long! Nice lefty. Wish I still had my Ted Kramer built Hill. But, alas, at 82# I just couldn't handle it anymore. Old age happens I guess.
I'm curious, what was the original draw weight at 70" and what did it go to when it was cut down to 66"? Thanks!
It was close to 40# @ 27'' after it was cut down draw weight is around 48# @ 27''. That's on my scales.....stabow
Very nice, it looks great. Makes me want another Hill bow.

Congratulations. I like those Hills. I shoot a HH Big 5 also. Hamilton is a 2-1/2 hour drive from here.
