Any suggestions for hats for bowhunting on days when you might get caught out in the rain??
I like to wear a boonie style hat. The brim goes all the way around and keeps the sun and rain off your face and neck and ears. You can get waterproof boonie hats also. Natchez shooters supply has them for $10 in the last flyer I got.
I use a fedora style felt hat I got from 3Rivers. Works great in rain and snow.
Good felt hats are hard to beat in all sorts of weather, I'll take one over a Goretex hat any time.
I like my Fedora.
x4 for a wool felt fedora. Keeps my head dry in anything short of a total downpour. I just have to remember to poke the crown up when it rains so water doesnt pool in it. Another good thing is that you can pick one up at a thrift store for a buck or less
I live in Oregon..it rains a bit here. :saywhat: I have a camo baseball style hat that is Gore-tex lined. Works great. If it's a light drizzle I'll wear my wool felt hat. But for the late season downpours it's the cap.
Watership Down from Noggintops
I am another for a wool felt fedora. Love em...
