I have never worked with leather before but wanted to take a stab at building my own quiver. I searched the internet for some ideas and this is what I came up with. I can't tell you how many hours it took but it was a lot. So tell me what you think. my next project will be a arm guard. still looking for the right pattern.

Excellent. How did you sew the strap to the quiver?
That is some very nice work. If you are displeased with it, I'll be happy to hide it out of your sight over here in southern Indiana. I wish I was that talented. Be sure to show us the arm guard when you finish with it.
Joe

Thanks
Gilbert
 I would say you did one heluva job!!!
QuoteHow did you sew the strap to the quiver?
The last strap at the top on the back. I punched the holes through the strap and then tranfered them using a awl. It was a pain reaching back inside but i didnt know what else to do.
I did all the sewing on the strap pocket by hand. I did what's called a saddle stitching it should never come lose. I used a punch to drive through the leather followed by hand stitching with two needles. I put all the parts on before closing it up and stitching the back. The back I and pocket cover stich is called a Mexican basket weave. The center of the back was too hard for to try so I just went for a crisscross.
Thank you all for the nice things you have said. I give the real leather guys a lot of credit the blisters and just how much time it takes to do the work has given me a whole new perspective on their talents.
Man thats very nice

It's a wall hanger; too nice to take out in the woods.
Great job
Nice work you did a great job.
Even though other types of quivers have been more practical for me, a good-looking back quiver is a sight to behold. I think you've done yourself proud!

Beautiful! What kind of knife is that?
JUST BEAUTIIIFULLLLL!!!!!!
MAY THE SPIRIT OF FRED BEAR GUIDE OUR ARROWS.
very nice. Wont be long until people will want to start buying them from you.
Thanks for all the nice things said. It makes all the blisters sore hands and countless hours well worth it. I actually used it for the 1st time, after taking some time to adjust it pre-formed well. I couldn't be happier.
I think you did a great job!!!
Wow.I think that you can start a new career as quiver builder!!!
Very nice job-
Amazing work for a first timer! I had trouble building a plain quiver from a kit. Where do you want to take this hobby?
Wow! Nice job!
Great work... I would be proud to carry it !!
