took out my bow the other day to fling some arrows. was shooting great and grouping good at 15 yds. pulled back to fire my last arrow and boom. bow split. so ill have to shoot my kodiak until my custom comes in from idaho curt. idk what went wrong, there was so sign of it going to fail. bow wasnt even a year old :( o well cant wait for the custom. was told the riser and limbs are done and fitted and its just getting all smoothed up and finished. hope ill have it in the next week or so.
Mark contact whoever the maker was, explain what happened and see what they say. It can't hurt and may surprise you! Shawn
Glad you weren't hurt. It sucks when a bow fails, it REALLY sucks when someone gets hurt.
Mark
That sucks Man! Glad you were not hurt. Like Shawn said, call the bowyer and see what they say.

I would think the bowyer that made your bow has some type of waranty to cover this if not even a year old. I know all mine do!!
Mark, sorry to hear about your loss and I am glad you are not hurt.
I agree with Shawn here.! Good luck!
How disappoining it must be.
Sure glad you weren't injured.
Got a two week shiner a few years back when the bottom limb on a new bow fractured. I still regard that incident as having been fortunate as having not lost an eye.
i bought it from a kid just starting out. knew there was a risk because he sid he just started designing hybrids. ill say though for his first design it was a hell of a shooter, smooth draw, fast with heavy arrows at my 26" draw and being 43# at my draw length. he said if I want another bow in the future he will give me a good discount. think ill just glue this one up and put it on the wall. but my kodiak isnt that great so i probably wont shoot much at all until my new one comes in.
seeing how its always good to have a back up i think i might save a little cash over the next few months and order a kanati, just a plan looking one with black glass most likly. selling one of my pellet guns and should get around $240 for that.
adkmountainken has an awesome Kanati in the classifieds right now with a heck of a price on it!
If you don't like that Kodiak you may be able to sell it and fund your back up. Many folks really like the Kodiaks.

Great Guy to deal with, in fact you could drive up and wash the cost of shipping!
Good luck with whatever new bow yuo end up with.
Ca ca happens. I'd definitely contact the maker. I also stack hands on Ken's bow in the classifieds. He's solid.
Any chance you can fix it? I had a Dryad Hunter have a limb crack, pretty major break. Glued it back up with Urac 185, wrapped it, and she's doin' fine.. :knothead: Just hate to lose a good shooter. :archer2:
saw that bow and want it bad. but i still have to pay the rest of the idaho curt one off and owe $200 more on my car. after those payments are over ill be saving again. cant sell the kodiak as it was passed down to me from my grand pa and he got it from his. want to keep that bow in the familly.
joekeith- im thinking about it glue it back up and clamp it. wear safty glasses and m dirt bike helmet and hope for the best haha. not like i have anything to lose
ill post a pic and you guys could tell me if it looks like it might be fixable. still might try ether way.
