Title: Fedora Bows
Post by: Blue Tick on August 03, 2011, 10:49:00 AM
Everyone,

I am looking at a new Fedora takedown recurve. I don't know much about them so I am wondering what y'all can tell me about them? Seems they've been around for a long time as well. Thanks in advance.

They've been around for a long time for a reason, they're awesome!  I have shot a lot of different bows and Fedora's are about the best.  I own one of his takedown longbows and a short 52" recurve.  The longbow is super fast, quiet and shock free.  Both of the Fedora's I own draw smooth as butter too.  You won't go wrong with a Fedora.  Good luck.  Sam

Thanks, I've been looking at a new recurve for a while. They look really good and seemed to be priced well. I've been on the phone with them this morning.

I love mine more every time I shoot it. It just gets better and better. If I ever order a custom to suit my own needs its going to be a Fedora plain and simple.

I really like this one, and if I ever get one it will be similar.

Not only are they one of the top bows, Fedora will send you one on trial so you can be sure you are making the right choice.
Great team to deal with.

Fedora is a great choice. My first custom and still have it. One of the fastest recurves I have ever shot, also very accurate. Not my quietest but not bad! Seems to load quickly but pretty smooth out to my draw. This bow is a real confidence builder. I'm sure you would be happy with one,you might want to take them up on their tryout offer just to be sure. Good luck,Gary.

I am taking them up on the try out offer! Talked with Jason for almost an hour this morning about the bow. No recurve in stock for my specs, so he suggested trying a hybrid longbow in my specs.

Any information on these?

Can anyone suggest a good arrow setup for a 28/42#?

I have 4 560 hunters and have known Mike and Jason for almost 20 years they are great people and IMHO make the fastest hardest hitting recurves out there

I just chronoed my a brand new Silvertip that is the same weight as my fav Fedora and the Fedora was 10 fps quicker with the same arrow

I have tried a long 560 TD with some very exotic wood. Smooth shooting bow, lots of mass in the riser. The grips are unique, with the thumb locator, and custom to your hand. The grip was too big on the one I tried, and I shoot with an open hand & wrist sling, anyway. I know a couple of other people that have them and love 'em, but it's a matter of your shooting style and preference.
