Sunday my oldest and I had a chance to go up to the second day of the Pope Young shoot and do the animal round. Met with some old friends, made some new ones and had a great time hanging out with my daughter. She's a gem, and I'm blessed to have her to share times like this with.
Starting out, a little early for her tastes I think.

Just after sending an arrow down range toward the turkey target.

Already looking forward to next year.
That's very cool Stan. Glad you two got to shoot the course. It is a very special setting for this shoot with the old growth trees, big ferns and all. Looks like she is giving you a run for your money! Good for her! Really sorry I had to miss it this year.
Always my favorite shoot and this year was one of the best. Really liked how the Sunday trail shoot was setup this year - a good variation of distance & use of vegetation and the course was reversed compared to years past.
A huge thanks goes to Black Rose Traditional Archers who hosted the shoot this year :notworthy:
I was looking for ya there, David, maybe next year! She's more than giving me a run for my money. There was a back up at the cat in the tree shot and we had to shoot in front of 9 or 10 other shooters. She pinwheeled it right in the 12 ring!
shdwhwk, you are right, the course weas set up great, we enjoyed shooting it a lot.
